OX7GEN at Vh1 Supersonic: The immersive electronica fast-paced rhythm

India’s leading multi-genre music and lifestyle festival, Vh1 Supersonic is ready to bring an energetic melange of music, art, and culture enthusiasts. After a 3-year hiatus, the power-packed comeback of the music and lifestyle festival will be a mind-blowing ensemble of multi-genre artists. Triple scaling the flamboyant fervour this year is OX7GEN, a drum and bass/ambient project of Mumbai-based producer Aditya Ashok, curating electronica that blends synth sounds and fast-paced drum beats.

In 2012, OX7GEN released his debut four-track EP, Any Minute Now. His second EP, titled An Ocean For Everyone, was released in early 2013 and featured two songs and one video that OX7GENrecorded while on holiday in Goa. Until now, he has set fire to the stages at Goa’s Sunburn Festival, the Escape Festival at Naukuchiatal, the Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Pune last year, and the electronica gig series BASS Camp. Over the past few years, he has worked with artists such as London Elektricity, KOAN Sound, Concord Dawn, Dub Phizix, and Nymfo, among others, and also played drums for electro acts such as ViceVersa, Shaa’ir + Func, and alt rock band The Colour Compound.
Vh1 Supersonic has carved a reputation for itself with an eclectic mix of indie and international artists in its line-ups. At Vh1 Supersonic 2023, festival-goers can expect artists like Prateek Kuhad, DIVINE, Farhan Akhtar, as well as Stalvart John, Anushka, Sunflower Tape Machine, and Bengaluru’s hip-hop/pop duo RANJ x Clifr, amongst others.
Given the umpteen global and Indian musicians taking the many stages of Vh1 Supersonic in this edition, it is safe to say that Vh1 Supersonic is making a legendary comeback that you must not miss!
