Andrew Garfield Takes Centre Stage in The Uprising, Releasing 18th September
Mumbai, September 2026: PVR INOX Pictures is all set to bring The Uprising, the gripping historical drama from acclaimed filmmaker Paul Greengrass, to Indian audiences on 18th September 2026. Starring Andrew Garfield in the lead, the film takes audiences back to one of the most defining popular rebellions in medieval English history, the Peasants’ Revolt of 1381.
Set against the turbulent backdrop of 14th-century England, The Uprising explores a society fractured by inequality, oppressive taxation and growing resentment against those in power. What begins as widespread unrest soon transforms into a mass movement, as ordinary people rise against an established system and demand change.
