ஏலகிரி மலை மக்களின் உரிமைக் குரலாக உருவாகும் புதிய திரைப்படம்… சமூக அரசியலை பேசும் Tam’s Consultancy-யின் ‘Production No.2’!

Tam’s Consultancy’s Production No.2 Brings the Untold Story of Yelagiri Hill People to the Big Screen

After making a mark with meaningful cinema, Tam’s Consultancy is set to present its second production, Production No.2, a socially relevant film that sheds light on the lives, struggles, and aspirations of the people living in the picturesque Yelagiri Hills.
Produced by Tamilvaanan, who also plays the lead role, the film is directed by Taj, who made his directorial debut with the 2017 film Pongu. With this project, the filmmaker takes on a powerful and emotionally driven subject inspired by real-life events.
Set against the backdrop of Yelagiri, often referred to as the “Princess of the Hills,” the film authentically portrays the lifestyle, culture, and hardships of the hill communities. It is based on real incidents of injustice faced by these people and has been crafted without compromising the authenticity of their experiences.
The narrative also explores the influence of socialist ideals on the lives of the hill people and presents their collective voice with honesty and emotional depth. More than just a feature film, Production No.2 aims to serve as a reflection of the struggles and resilience of marginalized communities.
Although the story is set around the year 2010, its themes remain highly relevant today. The film addresses issues that continue to affect underprivileged communities across India, particularly in the areas of education, sports, social justice, and reservation policies. The film stars Tamilvaanan in the lead role alongside Abirami as the female lead. The supporting cast includes CSK Saravanan, Bigg Boss Praveen, Mosakutty (known for Jai Bhim), Agathiyan, Vijayalakshmi, Arunachalam, Lion Suresh, Michael, Sriram, and Kousalya. Adding further authenticity to the film, real-life tribal cricketers from the Yelagiri hill region also feature in significant roles.
