Expressing his love for music and his desire to bring back playback songs, he said, _”I want playback songs back; that’s my next barrier to cross as a filmmaker. I want to do lip-sync songs. This is something we are losing now as a culture; we are losing the rootedness of the Indian tradition of storytelling. I want to do big songs. It’s there in a lot of South Indian movies, and we in Indian cinema are losing the essence of it. It’s become background music. I have even used songs as background music, but in the next film I do, I promise I’ll have five actual lip-sync playback songs.”_
