கேரள மாநில லாட்டரியை மையமாகக் கொண்ட ‘பம்பர்’ என்ற தமிழ் திரைப்படத்தில் ‘8 தோட்டாக்கள்’ மற்றும் ‘ஜீவி’ புகழ் வெற்றி கதாநாயகனாக நடிக்கவுள்ளார்.
வேதா பிக்சர்ஸ் பேனரில் சு. தியாகராஜா தயாரிக்கும் இப்படத்தை இயக்குநர்கள் மீரா கதிரவன் மற்றும் ‘கொம்பன்’ முத்தையா உள்ளிட்டவர்களிடம் பணியாற்றிய அனுபவமுள்ள எம். செல்வகுமார் இயக்குகிறார். கோவிந்த் வசந்தா இசையமைக்க கார்த்திக் நேத்தா பாடல்களை இயற்றுகிறார்.
படத்தை பற்றி பேசிய இயக்குநர் செல்வகுமார், “கேரள பம்பர் லாட்டரி தான் இப்படத்தின் கதைக்களமாகும். வெற்றி கதாநாயகனாகவும், அதற்கு இணையான கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடிகர் ஹரீஷ் பேரடியும் நடிக்கவுள்ளனர். இந்த திரைப்படத்தை தூத்துக்குடி மற்றும் கேரளாவில் படம் பிடிக்க திட்டமிட்டுள்ளோம். விரைவில் படப்பிடிப்பு தொடங்கவுள்ளது,” என்றார்.
படத்தின் ஒளிப்பதிவை நெடுநல்வாடை, எம்ஜிஆர் மகன், ஆலம்பனா மற்றும் கடமையை செய் ஆகிய திரைப்படங்களின் ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் வினோத் ரத்தினசாமி கையாள்கிறார். படத்தொகுப்புக்கு மு.காசிவிஸ்வநாதன் பொறுப்பேற்றுள்ளார்.

Actor Vetri of ‘8 Thottakkal’ and ‘Jiivi’ fame is all set to play the lead role in a Tamil film based on Kerala bumper lottery. The movie has been titled ‘Bumper’.
The film to be produced by S. Thiagaraja, B.E., on Vetha Pictures banner will be directed by M. Selvakumar, who had earlier worked with filmmakers like Meera Kathiravan and ‘Komban’ fame Muthaiah. Music will be composed by Govind Vasantha, while lyrics are by Karthik Netha.
Says director Selvakumar, “Kerala bumber lottery forms the backdrop of this film. Vetri is playing the protagonist, while actor Hareesh Peradi is doing a very important character.”
He adds: “We are planning to shoot this movie in beautiful locales in Thoothukudi and Kerala. Shooting will start soon.”
Cinematographer Vinoth Rathinasamy, who has worked in films such as Nedunalvaadai, MGR Magan, Aalambana and Kadamaiyai Sei will wield camera for this movie. Editing is by Mu. Kasi Viswanathan.
