இயக்குநர் மிஷ்கினிடம் உதவியாளராக பணியாற்றிய ஜெபி சைக்கலாஜிக்கல் த்ரில்லர் படமான ’BP 180’ மூலம் இயக்குநராக அறிமுகமாகிறார். இந்த படத்தில் மறைந்த நடிகர் டேனியல் பாலாஜி வில்லன் கதாபாத்திரத்திலும், நடிகை தான்யா ரவிச்சந்திரன் முதன்மை கதாபாத்திரத்திலும் நடித்துள்ளனர். முதல் பார்வை போஸ்டர் மற்றும் புரோமோஷனல் அறிவிப்புகள் படம் குறித்த எதிர்பார்ப்பை பார்வையாளர்கள் மத்தியில் ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. நடிகர் டேனியல் பாலாஜியின் கடைசி திரைப்படம் இது என்பதால் அவரது ரசிகர்கள் டேனியல் பாலாஜியை திரையில் காண உணர்ச்சி பெருக்குடன் காத்திருக்கின்றனர்.
நவம்பர் 28 ஆம் தேதியில் வெளியாகும் இந்தப் படம் குறித்து இயக்குநர் ஜெபி பகிர்ந்து கொண்டதாவது, “’BP 180’ என்பது ஆபத்தான மருத்துவ மற்றும் உளவியல் நிலையைக் குறிக்கிறது. இதில் போதைப்பொருட்கள் புழக்கத்தால் தனிநபர்கள் இரத்த அழுத்தம் அதிகமாகிறது. இந்த கட்டத்தில் அவர்களின் ஆறாவது அறிவு தடுமாறி விலங்குகளைப் போல நடந்து கொள்கிறார்கள். ஆண்கள் கும்பலாக சேர்ந்து மற்றவர்கள் மீது வன்முறைகள் நிகழ்த்துவதையோ அல்லது தனிநபர் பெண்கள் மீது கொடூரமான தாக்குதல் நடத்துவது போன்ற சம்பவங்களை எதிர்கொள்ளும் காலக்கட்டத்தில் வாழ்கிறோம். இவர்கள் மருத்துவரீதியாக ’BP 180’ ஆக உருவகப்படுத்துவார்கள். இந்தக் கதையில், டேனியல் பாலாஜியின் கதாபாத்திரம் இந்த நிலையில் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட ஒருவர்” என்றார்.

Filmmaker JP, who earlier served as assistant to director Mysskin, is set to make his directorial debut with the intense psychological thriller “BP 180.” The film features the late Daniel Balaji in a powerful antagonist role and Tanya Ravichandran as the central protagonist. The first-look posters and early promotional material have already generated a dignified yet palpable buzz among audiences. Fans of Daniel Balaji, in particular, await this film with deep emotion, eager to witness the final on-screen performance of the beloved actor. As the film gears up for a theatrical release on November 28, director JP shares compelling insights into the heart of the narrative.
“BP 180 represents a dangerous medical and psychological condition in which individuals, under the influence of narcotics, experience an extreme spike in blood pressure. At this stage, their humane sixth sense collapses, altering behavior to that of a five-sensed animal,” explains JP. “We live in a time where we witness horrifying acts, groups of men violently slaughtering another, or individuals committing brutal assaults on women. These are people who, metaphorically and medically, embody BP 180. In our film, Daniel Balaji’s character is someone afflicted with this condition. Tanya Ravichandran plays a doctor determined to treat him, relentlessly striving to transform a dangerous soul. Whether this ‘angel’ succeeds in saving or ultimately destroying this ‘devil’ forms the essence of the film’s conflict.”
