நடிகர் ரிச்சர்ட் ரிஷி நடிப்பில் உருவாகி வரும் ‘திரௌபதி 2’ திரைப்படம், சென்சார் சோதனையை வெற்றிகரமாக கடந்து U/A சான்றிதழ் பெற்றுள்ளதுடன், திரையரங்க வெளியீட்டிற்கு முழுமையாக தயாராகி வருகிறது.
மோகன் ஜி இயக்கத்தில் உருவாகும் இந்தப் படம், வழக்கமான கதைகளிலிருந்து விலகி, 14-ஆம் நூற்றாண்டு தென்னிந்திய வரலாற்றை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்ட பிரம்மாண்டமான ஆக்ஷன் கதையாக ரசிகர்களை திரையரங்கிற்கு இழுக்கும் வகையில் உருவாகியுள்ளது.
பல மொழிகளில் தயாராகியுள்ள இப்படத்தில், ரிச்சர்ட் ரிஷி முதன்மை கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடிக்க, ரக்ஷனா இந்துசுதன் அவருக்கு ஜோடியாக நடித்துள்ளார். நட்டி நடராஜ் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரத்தில் தோன்றுகிறார். இவர்களுடன் Y.G. மகேந்திரன், நாடோடிகள் பரணி, வேல ராமமூர்த்தி, சரவண சுப்பையா, சிராஜ் ஜானி, தினேஷ் லம்பா, கணேஷ் கௌரங், திவி, தேவயாணி ஷர்மா, அருணோதயன் உள்ளிட்ட பலர் முக்கிய வேடங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர்.

CBFC சான்றிதழ் கிடைத்துள்ள நிலையில், ‘திரௌபதி 2’ படத்தின் அதிகாரப்பூர்வ வெளியீட்டு தேதி விரைவில் அறிவிக்கப்படும் என படக்குழு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

Actor Richard Rishi’s upcoming film “Draupathi 2” has successfully cleared the censor process and received a U/A certificate, officially gearing up for its theatrical release.
Directed by Mohan G, the film stands out as a highly anticipated historical action drama rooted in 14th-century South Indian history, promising a visually rich and intense cinematic experience rather than a routine narrative.
The multilingual project features Richard Rishi in the lead role, with Raksana Indhusudhan playing the female lead. Natti Nataraj appears in a key role. The supporting cast includes Y.G. Mahendran, Nadodigal Bharani, Vela Ramamoorthy, Saravana Subbiah, Siraj Johnny, Dinesh Lamba, Ganesh Gourang, Divi, Devayani Sharma, Arunothayan, and several others.
Produced by Netaji Productions Chola Chakravarthy in association with G.M. Film Corporation, the film aims to bring a grand period setting to life, blending history, action, and emotion on a large cinematic scale.
The technical crew includes Philip R. Sundar as cinematographer, Ghibran Vaibodha handling the music, Action Santhosh choreographing stunts, Thaniga Tony as dance choreographer, Devaraj as editor, and Kamalnathan overseeing production design. Dialogues have been written by Padma Chandrasekar and Mohan G.
With the CBFC certification now in place, the makers are expected to announce the official release date soon. “Draupathi 2” has already generated strong buzz for its historical backdrop and action-driven storytelling.
