உழவர் விருதுகள் 2026: விவசாயத்திற்கான அர்ப்பணிப்பை கொண்டாடிய நடிகர் கார்த்தியின் உழவன் ஃபவுண்டேஷன்
விவசாயத் துறையில் அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் செயல்படும் தனிநபர்கள் மற்றும் அமைப்புகளை கௌரவிக்கும் உழவன் ஃபவுண்டேஷனின் ‘உழவர் விருதுகள் 2026’ விழா, தொடர்ச்சியாக ஏழாவது ஆண்டாக சென்னை நகரில் கோலாகலமாக நடைபெற்றது.
இந்த விழாவில் நடிகரும் உழவன் ஃபவுண்டேஷனின் நிறுவனருமான கார்த்தி சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக கலந்து கொண்டு, விருது பெற்றவர்களுக்கு சான்றிதழ், கேடயம் மற்றும் ரூ.2 லட்சம் மதிப்பிலான காசோலையை வழங்கி கௌரவித்தார். அவருடன் நடிகர் சிவகுமார், ரவி மோகன், ரேவதி, கருணாஸ் உள்ளிட்ட திரையுலகப் பிரபலங்களும், பேராசிரியர் சுல்தான் அஹ்மது இஸ்மாயில், OFM அனந்து போன்ற வேளாண் வல்லுநர்களும் விழாவில் பங்கேற்றனர். வேளாண் செயற்பாட்டாளர்கள், மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் பொதுமக்கள் எனப் பலரும் இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் திரளாகக் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.

சிறந்த வேளாண் கூட்டமைப்பு விருது – வேலூர் மக்கள் நலச் சந்தை,
நீர்நிலைகள் மீட்டெடுத்தலுக்கான சிறந்த பங்களிப்பு விருது – திருப்பூரைச் சேர்ந்த ‘வேர்கள்’ அமைப்பு,
சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்பு விருது – குன்னூரைச் சேர்ந்த ‘க்ளீன் குன்னூர்’ அமைப்பு
என பல்வேறு பிரிவுகளில் விருதுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டன.
விழாவில் உரையாற்றிய கார்த்தி, “நமக்கான உணவை இரவு பகலாக உழைத்து உற்பத்தி செய்யும் விவசாயிகள் சமூகத்தில் முறையாக அங்கீகரிக்கப்படுவதில்லை. அவர்களுடைய உழைப்பின் மதிப்பு நாளுக்கு நாள் குறைந்து கொண்டே வருகிறது. எந்த எதிர்பார்ப்பும் இல்லாமல் விவசாயத்திற்காக அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் செயல்படுபவர்களை சமூகத்திற்குத் தெரியப்படுத்தவும், அவர்களை கொண்டாடவும் தான் இந்த ‘உழவர் விருதுகள்’ தொடர் நிகழ்ச்சியை தொடர்ந்து நடத்தி வருகிறோம். விவசாயம் குறித்த உரையாடல்கள் தொடர்ந்தால் மட்டுமே சமூக மாற்றம் ஏற்படும்,” என்றார்.
இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் விவசாயத் தொழிலாளர்களின் பிரச்சினைகள், பெண்களின் பங்கு, குப்பை மேலாண்மை, சிறு குறு விவசாயிகளுக்கான உள்ளூர் சந்தைகளின் அவசியம், நீர்நிலைகள் மீட்டெடுத்தலின் முக்கியத்துவம் உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு விவசாயம் சார்ந்த சவால்கள் மற்றும் தீர்வுகள் குறித்து விரிவான கலந்துரையாடல்கள் நடைபெற்றன.
மொத்தத்தில், விவசாயத்தின் இன்றைய நிலை, எதிர்கொள்ளும் சவால்கள் மற்றும் அவற்றை சமாளிக்க வேண்டிய முன்னெடுப்புகள் குறித்து பொதுமக்களுக்கு விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்தும் வகையில், ‘உழவர் விருதுகள் 2026’ விழா ஒரு முழுமையான, பயனுள்ள நிகழ்வாக அமைந்தது.
Uzhavar Awards 2026: Uzhavan Foundation Celebrates Commitment to Agriculture
The “Uzhavar Awards 2026,” organized by the Uzhavan Foundation to honour individuals and organisations dedicated to the agricultural sector, was held in Chennai for the seventh consecutive year in a grand manner.
Actor Karthi, founder of the Uzhavan Foundation, attended the event as the chief guest and presented certificates, shields and a cash award of Rs. 2 lakh to the winners. Veteran actor Sivakumar, actors Ravi Mohan, Revathi and Karunas, along with agricultural experts Prof. Sultan Ahmed Ismail and OFM Ananthu, also took part in the function. The event witnessed the participation of agricultural activists, students and the general public.

Best Farmer Award – Mrs. Palaniammal from Kovilpatti
Best Agricultural Contribution Award – Mr. Pamayan from Madurai
Best Farmers’ Collective Award – Vellore Makkal Nala Sandhai
Best Contribution for Water Body Restoration – ‘Vergal’ Organisation, Tiruppur
Best Environmental Protection Award – ‘Clean Coonoor’ Organisation, Coonoor
Addressing the gathering, Karthi said, “Farmers who work day and night to provide food are often not given due recognition by society. Their value is steadily declining, but their hard work never stops. Through the Uzhavar Awards, we want to identify, celebrate and honour those who selflessly dedicate themselves to agriculture. Only when discussions about farming become a part of our everyday life can real social change happen.”
The event also featured detailed discussions on various agricultural issues such as the problems faced by farm labourers, the role of women in agriculture, waste management, the need for local markets for small and marginal farmers, and the importance of restoring water bodies.
Overall, the Uzhavar Awards 2026 ceremony served as an informative and meaningful platform that highlighted the challenges in agriculture and the initiatives needed to address them.
