Actor Aegan’s ‘Haiku’ Goes on Floors – Netflix Acquires Digital Streaming Rights Ahead of Shoot
Following the success of Joe, the producers return with another quality-driven project titled Haiku, starring actor Aegan. The film’s shooting commenced today in Idukki with a simple pooja and clap ceremony. Notably, even before the start of filming, leading OTT platform Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights of the film, expressing strong confidence in its story and making.
Netflix, known globally for presenting powerful narratives to audiences across the world, has secured the digital rights of Haiku prior to its theatrical release. This early acquisition highlights the platform’s trust in the film’s content and creative vision, much to the delight of the film’s team.
The film was formally launched today (February 1, 2026) in Idukki. Acclaimed filmmaker Ram, known for critically appreciated films such as Peranbu and Tharamani, gave the first clap and inaugurated the shoot, extending his wishes to the team.
Haiku is directed by Yuvraj Chinnasamy and produced under the banner of Vision Cinema House by Dr. D. Arulanandhu and Matthew Arulanandhu. Hariharan Ram, the director of Joe, has contributed as the additional screenplay writer for the film.
