இந்திய திரையுலகில் இரண்டு தசாப்தங்களைத் தாண்டிய ஒரு பயணம்.

‘நம்மல்’ திரைப்படம் மூலம் மலையாள சினிமாவில் அறிமுகமான பாவனா, காதல், குடும்பம், சமூக சிக்கல், த்ரில்லர் என பல்வேறு வகை கதைகளில் தன்னை நிரூபித்தவர். ஆனால் ‘அனோமி’ அவருடைய பயணத்தில் இன்னொரு முக்கிய திருப்பமாக அமைந்திருக்கிறது. காரணம் – இது வெறும் இன்னொரு த்ரில்லர் அல்ல; ஒரு நடிகையின் உள்ளார்ந்த திறனை முழுமையாக சோதிக்கும் கதாபாத்திரம்.
இந்த படத்தில் பாவனா ‘சாரா’ என்ற தடயவியல் நிபுணராக தோன்றுகிறார். உணர்ச்சி அழுத்தம், அறிவுசார் விசாரணை, மன அழுத்தம் என பல பரிமாணங்களைக் கொண்ட கதாபாத்திரம். வழக்கமான விசாரணை கதைகளில் காணப்படும் போலீஸ் மையத்தைத் தாண்டி, பேரலெல் இன்வெஸ்டிகேஷன் என்ற புதிய கதை சொல்லும் முறையில் படம் நகர்கிறது. இதன் மூலம், மனித மனம் மற்றும் குற்றத்தின் உளவியல் பக்கங்கள் ஆழமாக ஆராயப்படுகின்றன.

Bhavana’s 90th Milestone Film ‘Anomie: The Equation of Death’ Set for Release on February 6
A journey spanning over two decades, built on perseverance, versatility, and powerful performances — actress Bhavana stands at a significant milestone in her career with her 90th film, Anomie: The Equation of Death, scheduled for theatrical release from February 6.
Introduced to audiences through the acclaimed film Nammal, Bhavana has consistently carved a unique space for herself in Indian cinema by choosing performance-driven roles across genres. Anomie marks yet another defining chapter in her filmography, presenting her in one of the most layered and emotionally demanding roles of her career.
In this investigative thriller, Bhavana plays Sarah, a forensic expert whose intelligence, emotional depth, and psychological resilience form the core of the narrative. Moving beyond conventional crime-thriller tropes, the film adopts a parallel investigation narrative, blending emotional intensity with cerebral storytelling and sustained suspense.
The film is written and directed by debutant Riyas Marath, who approaches the genre with a fresh perspective, focusing not only on crime but also on the human psyche behind it. The screenplay is structured to maintain tension while delving deep into the emotional consequences of investigation.
Actor Rahman, widely appreciated for Dhuruvangal 16, makes his return to Malayalam cinema as an investigating officer.
