சமீப காலத்தில் ஒரு திரைப்படம் திரையரங்குகளில் நீண்ட நாட்கள் நிலைத்து நிற்பதே சவாலான விஷயமாக மாறியுள்ள நிலையில், பிகே7 ஸ்டுடியோஸ் தயாரிப்பில் டாக்டர் பிரகபல் இயக்கத்தில் வெளியான ‘ஜாக்கி’ திரைப்படம் தொடர்ந்து நான்காவது வாரமாக வெற்றிகரமாக ஓடி வருகிறது.

மதுரையின் மண் மணமும், அங்குள்ள மக்களின் வாழ்வியலும், பாரம்பரிய கலாச்சார விளையாட்டான ‘கெடா சண்டை’யும் ஒன்றிணைந்த களத்தில் உருவான இந்த திரைப்படம், அந்த விளையாட்டை மையமாகக் கொண்டு உருவான முதல் படம் என்ற பெருமையை பெற்றுள்ளது. கிராமத்து பின்னணியையும், மண்ணின் உணர்வுகளையும் நேர்த்தியாக சித்தரித்திருப்பது ரசிகர்களிடம் நல்ல வரவேற்பை பெற்றுள்ளது.

முன்னதாக மழைக்காடுகளில் நடைபெறும் சவாலான மட் ரேஸை மையமாக வைத்து ‘மட்டி’ திரைப்படத்தை இயக்கி கவனம் பெற்ற டாக்டர் பிரகபல், அதற்குப் பிறகு ‘ஜாக்கி’ மூலம் இன்னொரு வித்தியாசமான முயற்சியை வெற்றியாக மாற்றியுள்ளார்.

இது குறித்து இயக்குநர் டாக்டர் பிரகபல் கூறுகையில், “இன்றைய சூழலில் ஒரு படம் சில நாட்கள் ஓடுவதற்கே சவாலாக இருக்கும். ஆனால் ‘ஜாக்கி’ நான்கு வாரங்களாக தொடர்ந்து ரசிகர்கள் ஆதரவில் ஓடுகிறது என்பது மகிழ்ச்சியாக உள்ளது. தரமான படங்களை ஆதரிக்கும் தமிழ் ரசிகர்கள், ஊடகங்கள், பத்திரிகையாளர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் என் நன்றிகள்,” என தெரிவித்தார்.

‘ஜாக்கி’ திரைப்படத்தில் யுவான் கிருஷ்ணா, ரிதான் கிருஷ்ணாஸ் ஆகியோர் முக்கிய வேடங்களில் நடித்துள்ளார்கள். அம்மு அபிராமி கதாநாயகியாக நடித்துள்ளார். மேலும் பல திரைப் பிரபலங்களும் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் இணைந்துள்ளனர்.
இத்திரைப்படத்திற்கு சக்தி பாலாஜி இசையமைத்துள்ளார். உதயகுமார் ஒளிப்பதிவு செய்துள்ளார். படத்தொகுப்பை ஸ்ரீகாந்த் மேற்கொண்டுள்ளார். கிரியேட்டிவ் புரொட்யூசராக ஆர்.பி. பாலா பணியாற்றியுள்ளார். தயாரிப்பு கட்டுப்பாட்டாளராக எஸ். சிவகுமார், கலை இயக்குநராக சி. உதயக்குமார், ஆடியோகிராபியாக எம்.ஆர். ராஜாகிருஷ்ணன் உள்ளிட்ட பலர் தொழில்நுட்ப அணியில் இணைந்துள்ளனர்.

பாரம்பரிய விளையாட்டை மையமாக கொண்டு உருவான ‘ஜாக்கி’, தற்போது திரையரங்குகளில் வெற்றிநடை போட்டு வருகிறது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

‘Jackie’ Brings Traditional Sport to the Big Screen – Successfully Running into Its Fourth Week!

At a time when it has become challenging for films to sustain even a few days in theatres, ‘Jackie’, produced by PK7 Studios and directed by Dr. Pragabal, is successfully running into its fourth consecutive week.

Set against the backdrop of Madurai, the film is centered around the traditional cultural sport “Keda Sandai,” and holds the distinction of being the first movie to focus on this unique rural sport. Capturing the earthy essence of the land and the spirit of its people, the film has struck a chord with audiences.

Director Dr. Pragabal, who earlier gained recognition for ‘Matti’ — India’s first film based on a challenging mud race set in rainforest terrain — has once again delivered a distinctive and successful cinematic effort with ‘Jackie’.
Speaking about the film’s success, Dr. Pragabal said, “In today’s scenario, it’s a big achievement for a film to run even for a few days. I am truly happy that ‘Jackie’ has been running successfully for four weeks with continued audience support. My heartfelt thanks to Tamil audiences, media, and journalists who always encourage quality cinema.”

The film stars Yuvaan Krishna and Rithan Krishnas in pivotal roles, with Ammu Abhirami playing the female lead. Several well-known actors have also appeared in significant roles.
The film’s music is composed by Sakthi Balaji, cinematography is handled by Udhayakumar, and editing is done by Srikanth. R.P. Bala has served as the Creative Producer. The technical team also includes Production Controller S. Sivakumar, Art Director C. Udhayakumar, Audiography by M.R. Rajakrishnan, and several other skilled technicians.
