A Grand Reunion in Malayalam Cinema – ‘Patriot’ to Release Worldwide on April 23, 2026
After 17 years, the two legendary icons of Malayalam cinema, Mammootty and Mohanlal, are coming together once again in the mega project Patriot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan. The film is all set for a worldwide theatrical release on April 23, 2026. The official release date poster was recently unveiled and has created a massive buzz across social media.
The release date announcement was shared by leading stars from different film industries. Director Atlee released the Tamil poster, actor Vijay Deverakonda unveiled the Telugu version, and filmmaker Karan Johar launched the Hindi poster. In Malayalam, more than forty prominent stars including Dulquer Salmaan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Unni Mukundan, Basil Joseph, Jayasurya, Nazriya Nazim, Keerthy Suresh, Kalyani Priyadarshan and others shared the poster and extended their wishes.
Earlier, character posters featuring Mammootty, Mohanlal, Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, and Rajeev Menon were released, further heightening expectations among fans.
