Director Prasanth Pandiyaraj, who won praise through the hit series Vilangu, steps into the spotlight this time as the lead actor, creating strong curiosity among audiences. The recently held “Warrant” trailer launch event turned into a grand celebration filled with excitement, emotions, and appreciation from the film fraternity.
Produced by Prasanth Pandiyaraj, P. Vishal, and P.M. Athiswar under the banners of Sivan Pictures and S Studios, the series is directed by Vignesh Natarajan. The screenplay, jointly written by Prasanth Pandiyaraj and Vignesh Natarajan, promises a gripping blend of police investigation, action, and human emotions.
“Vilangu Was Never Just a Series… It Was a Universe!”
Speaking at the event, ZEE5 Series Head Shyam said,
“Vilangu was not just a series; it was a world filled with multiple stories and characters. Warrant is one such important story from that universe. The series showcases how an ordinary man transforms into a powerful police officer.”
He also hinted that Warrant would serve as an important connection leading into Vilangu 2.
Prasanth Pandiyaraj’s Transition from Director to Actor
Sharing his thoughts, Prasanth Pandiyaraj said,
“Vilangu gave us recognition and love from the audience. I believe Warrant will receive the same support. This is a new phase for me as an actor, and I hope audiences embrace this journey too.”
Director Vignesh Natarajan revealed that he strongly believed Prasanth was perfect for the lead role from the moment the script was developed.
