இலங்கை வாழ்வியலை உலகத் தரத்தில் பேசும் ‘அந்தோனி’
பிரசாத் லேப் அரங்கில் பாடல்கள் – ட்ரெய்லர் வெளியீடு உற்சாகமாக நடைபெற்றது.
ஓசை பிலிம்ஸ் தயாரிப்பில், இளையராஜா இசையில் உருவாகியுள்ள ‘அந்தோனி’ திரைப்படத்தின் பாடல்கள் மற்றும் ட்ரெய்லர் வெளியீட்டு விழா இன்று சென்னை பிரசாத் லேப் திரையரங்கில் நடைபெற்றது. இலங்கை வாழ்வியலை மையமாகக் கொண்ட இந்த படம், மார்ச் மாதம் திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாக உள்ளது.
இப்படத்தை சுகிர்தன் கிறிஸ்துராஜா மற்றும் ஜெனோசன் ராஜேஷ்வர் இணைந்து இயக்கியுள்ளனர். ஒளிப்பதிவு – ரிஷி செல்வம், எடிட்டிங் – சுரேஷ் ஏ. பிரசாத், கலை இயக்கம் – கலா மோகன். தயாரிப்பு: கலைவளரி சகா. ரமணதாஸ், சுகந்தினி. இணைத் தயாரிப்பாளர்கள்: விஜய் பாலசிங்கம், ஸ்ரீஸ்கந்தராஜா, விக்கி.
இப்படத்தில் ‘கயல்’ வின்சென்ட், டிஜே பானு, நிழல்கள் ரவி, அருள்தாஸ், சுதர்சன், ஷாமி உள்ளிட்டோர் நடித்துள்ளனர்.
“இது போரைத் தாண்டிய மறுவாழ்வு கதை” – தயாரிப்பாளர்
இணைத் தயாரிப்பாளர் விக்கி பேசுகையில், இந்திய–இலங்கை கூட்டுத் தயாரிப்புகள் பல ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு மீண்டும் உருவாகும் முயற்சியாக ‘அந்தோனி’ அமைகிறது என்றார். போர் நினைவுகளை மட்டுமே சொல்லாமல், மறுவாழ்வை பேசும் படமாக இது உருவாகியுள்ளது என்றும் குறிப்பிட்டார்.
தயாரிப்பாளர் ரமணதாஸ், “இலங்கையிலிருந்து உலகத் தரமான ஒரு திரைப்படத்தை வழங்க வேண்டும் என்ற நீண்டநாள் கனவு இந்தப் படம் மூலம் நனவாகிறது. தமிழ்நாட்டுடன் எங்கள் உறவு ரத்தத்தில் கலந்த ஒன்று. எங்கள் கதைகளை வெளியே இருந்து பார்க்காமல், உள்ளே வந்து உணர வேண்டும் என்பதே இந்த முயற்சியின் நோக்கம்,” என்றார்.
பல நாடுகளில் இருந்து முதலீடு செய்யப்பட்ட இந்த படம், மூன்று மொழிகளில் தயாராகியுள்ளது என்றும் அவர் தெரிவித்தார்.
“இளையராஜா இசையமைத்ததல்ல… ஆசீர்வதித்துள்ளார்” – சீனு ராமசாமி
சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக கலந்துகொண்ட இயக்குநர் சீனு ராமசாமி, ட்ரெய்லரைப் பார்த்து கண்கலங்கியதாக தெரிவித்தார். “இளையராஜா இந்தப் படத்திற்கு இசையமைத்ததல்ல, ஆசீர்வதித்துள்ளார் என்று நான் கருதுகிறேன். போர் முடிந்த பின்பட்ட ஒரு நாட்டின் மனநிலையை, அச்சத்தையும், நினைவுகளையும் இந்தப் படம் பேசுகிறது. அடக்குமுறையை எதிர்கொண்ட மக்களின் கலைவடிவமாக ‘அந்தோனி’யை பார்க்கிறேன்,” என்றார்.
நடிகர் வின்சென்டின் நடிப்பை பாராட்டிய அவர், “நீ இவ்வளவு சிறந்த நடிகன் என்று எனக்குத் தெரியவில்லை; மன்னித்து விடு,” என மேடையிலேயே உணர்ச்சியுடன் கூறினார்.
“உலக சினிமா தரத்தில் ‘அந்தோனி’” – பாஸ்கரன்
உலகத் திரைப்பட விழாக்களில் பங்கேற்று வருபவர் என அறியப்படும் ‘உலக சினிமா’ பாஸ்கரன், “இந்தப் படம் சர்வதேச தரத்தில் உள்ளது. இயக்குநர்கள் இருவரும் இணைந்து வெற்றிகரமான பயணத்தை தொடர வேண்டும்,” என்று பாராட்டினார்.
“இது கடலோரக் காதல் காவியம்” – இயக்குநர்கள்
இயக்குநர் ஜெனோசன் ராஜேஷ்வர், “வழக்கமான வடிவில் அல்லாமல், மண் சார்ந்த உண்மையான கதையை சொல்ல வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக இந்த முயற்சி,” என்றார்.
சுகிர்தன் கிறிஸ்துராஜா, “காதலும் கடலும் எப்போது பார்த்தாலும் சலிக்காது. இலங்கையின் கடலும் காதலும் இணையும் அனுபவத்தை இந்தப் படம் தரும்,” என்றார்.
“கதை நாயகனாக நடித்திருக்கிறேன்” – வின்சென்ட்
கதையின் நாயகனாக நடித்துள்ள ‘கயல்’ வின்சென்ட், “இந்தப் படம் எனது பயணத்தில் முக்கியமானதாக இருக்கும். கதாநாயகனாக அல்ல, கதை நாயகனாக நடித்திருக்கிறேன்,” என்றார். நாயகி டிஜே பானுவின் அர்ப்பணிப்பையும் அவர் பாராட்டினார்.
உலக பார்வையில் இலங்கை மண்
‘அந்தோனி’ திரைப்படம் போர் பின்னணியில் மறுவாழ்வு, மனித உறவுகள், கடலோர வாழ்க்கை ஆகியவற்றை உணர்ச்சிபூர்வமாக பேசும் முயற்சியாக உருவாகியுள்ளது. தமிழ் சினிமா மற்றும் இலங்கைத் தமிழர் வாழ்வியலுக்கு இடையிலான பாலமாக அமையும் இந்தப் படம், உலகத் தரத்தை நோக்கி பயணிக்கும் ஒரு புதிய படியாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது.
மார்ச் மாத வெளியீட்டை நோக்கி எதிர்பார்ப்பை ஏற்படுத்திய ‘அந்தோனி’ படக்குழுவினர், ஊடகங்களின் ஆதரவுடன் மக்களிடம் படம் சேர வேண்டும் என்று கேட்டுக் கொண்டனர்.
“Anthony” Speaks Sri Lankan Life in World-Class Cinema
Audio and Trailer Launch Held at Prasad Lab
The audio and trailer launch of Anthony, produced by Osai Films with music composed by , was held today at Prasad Lab Theatre, Chennai. Set against the backdrop of Sri Lankan life, the film is scheduled for release in March.
The film is directed by Sugirthan Christuraja and Jenosan Rajeshwar.

“A Story Beyond War – A Tale of Rebuilding”
Speaking at the event, co-producer Vicky said that Anthony marks a renewed effort in India–Sri Lanka co-productions after many years. Instead of revisiting war memories, the film focuses on post-war rebuilding and resilience.
Producer Ramanathas shared that it had long been his dream to present a world-class film from Sri Lanka. “Tamil Nadu is deeply connected to us. We want audiences not to look at our lives from a window, but to step inside and experience them,” he said.
The film has received investment support from several countries including the UK, Switzerland, France, Norway and Sri Lanka, and has been made in three languages.
“Ilaiyaraaja Has Blessed This Film” –
Director Seenu Ramasamy, who attended as a special guest, said he was moved to tears after watching the trailer.
“Ilaiyaraaja has not merely composed music for this film — he has blessed it. The film reflects the emotional state of a nation after war — the fear, uncertainty and lingering memories. I see Anthony as an artistic expression of people who have endured oppression,” he said.
He also praised actor Vincent’s performance and emotionally apologized on stage, saying he had not realized earlier how powerful a performer he is.
“Anthony Is of International Standard” –
Film critic ‘Ulagha Cinema’ Baskar, who regularly attends international film festivals, remarked that Anthony stands on par with global cinema standards and wished the directors continued success.
“A Coastal Love Epic” – Directors
Director Jenosan Rajeshwar stated that the team aimed to create a rooted, authentic story rather than a conventional commercial film.
Co-director Sugirthan Christuraja described the film as a “coastal love epic,” saying, “Love and the sea never lose their charm. This film will give audiences the experience of sitting by a window, listening to Ilaiyaraaja’s songs, and traveling through a beautiful Sri Lankan coastal village.”
“I Played the Hero of the Story, Not Just the Film” – Vincent
Actor Kayal Vincent said this film would be a significant milestone in his career. “I have not acted merely as a hero, but as the soul of the story,” he said. He also appreciated actress DJ Banu for her dedication, noting that she turned down a high-paying Telugu project to be part of Anthony.
A Bridge Between Lands
Anthony portrays post-war life, human relationships and coastal culture with emotional depth. Positioned as a bridge between Tamil Nadu and Sri Lankan Tamil cinema, the film aspires to make a mark on the global stage.
The team concluded by expressing hope that media support would help carry this meaningful film to audiences ahead of its March release.
