Atharvaa Murali’s Double-Role Surprise – ‘Valai’ Set to Present Revenge Drama in a Fresh Perspective!

Actor Atharvaa Murali, who has established himself as a performer known for choosing strong, content-driven scripts, is all set to take a significant step forward in his career with the upcoming film ‘Valai’. Produced by Radhu Infotainment and presented by Pepsi V.S. Balamurali, the film is directed by Jeeva Shankar. One of the major highlights of the film is that Atharvaa will be seen in a dual role for the first time, raising expectations among fans and cinema lovers.

The recently released teaser has already generated excitement, offering glimpses of the film’s visual style and storyline. Following the appreciation he received for his performances in DNA and the recently released Parasakthi, Valai is expected to further showcase Atharvaa’s versatility as an actor.

Set against the backdrop of Rameswaram, the film revolves around two characters named Sara and Kutty, both portrayed by Atharvaa Murali. While the story features the fishing community as a background, the film primarily explores the emotional and psychological layers of revenge.

The film features Roopa Manjari and Vani Bhojan as the female leads. The supporting cast includes Murali Sharma, Aadukalam Naren, Arjai, Jayaprakash, Arul D. Shankar, Thulasi, Mayilsamy, and Imman Annachi in important roles.

Director Jeeva Shankar revealed that the story is centered around a thought-provoking question — whether revenge can truly serve as justice or if it leads to further complications. He also stated that the film conveys this theme through an engaging and entertaining screenplay rather than a preachy narrative.
Technically, Valai boasts a strong team. The music is composed by Ghibran, who has created four songs that enhance the emotional tone of the film. Songs have been shot across scenic locations including Andaman, Chennai, and Rameswaram. Jeeva Shankar has also handled cinematography, while Sathish Surya has taken care of editing. The art direction is by Shanmugaraja, with production design by Gopi Prasanna. Action sequences are choreographed by Stunner Sam, and the lyrics are written by Karthik Netha, Mohan Raj, and Vaamana.
