2026 காதலர் தினமான பிப்ரவரி 14ஆம் தேதி திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகவுள்ள காதல் திரைப்படம் ‘ட்ரீம் கேர்ள்’. சாருலதா பிலிம்ஸ் தயாரிப்பில், எம்.ஆர். பாரதி கதை எழுதி இயக்கியிருக்கும் இந்தப் படம், மசாலா கலப்பில்லாத தூய காதல் கதையாக உருவாகியுள்ளது.
நடிகர் ஜீவா கதாநாயகனாக நடித்திருக்கும் இப்படத்தில், பிரபல ஸ்டண்ட் நடிகர் ஜெஸ்டின் பேத்தி மற்றும் நடிகை பபிதாவின் மகளான ஹரிஷ்மிதா கதாநாயகியாக நடித்துள்ளார். இவர்களுடன் பிரபு சாஸ்தா, துருவன், இந்திரா உள்ளிட்ட பலரும் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் தோன்றுகின்றனர்.

“20 நாட்களில் முழு படப்பிடிப்பையும் முடித்தோம். சரியான திட்டமிடல் இருந்ததால் ஒரு நாள்கூட படப்பிடிப்பு தடைபடவில்லை. இயற்கையும் எங்களுக்கு உதவியது. பனி, மழை அனைத்தும் தேவையான நேரத்தில் கிடைத்தது” என்கிறார்.
குறைந்த பட்ஜெட் – தெளிவான பார்வை
இன்றைய சினிமா செலவினங்கள் குறித்து விமர்சனமாகப் பேசும் இயக்குநர்,
“சரியான திட்டமிடல் இருந்தால் 25 லட்ச ரூபாயில் கூட ஒரு நல்ல படம் எடுக்க முடியும். நல்ல படம் ஓடினால் அதுவே பெரிய படம். ஆனால் சிலர் அதே படத்திற்கு இரண்டு கோடி செலவு செய்கிறார்கள். இதுதான் சினிமாவை நெருக்கடிக்குள் தள்ளுகிறது” என்கிறார்.

“ஆனால் சிறிய பட்ஜெட் படங்களில் சில லட்சங்களைத் தாண்டினாலே தயாரிப்பாளருக்கு அது பெரிய சுமை. அதைப் புரிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும்” என வலியுறுத்துகிறார்.
திறமையே அடையாளம்
‘ட்ரீம் கேர்ள்’ படத்திற்காக தயாரிப்பாளரைத் தேடி அலைந்ததில்லை என்று கூறும் பாரதி,
“நான் தேடியது திறமைசாலிகளை மட்டுமே. நடிகர்கள், தொழில்நுட்பக் கலைஞர்கள் அனைவரையும் நடிப்பு மற்றும் திறமை அடிப்படையிலேயே தேர்வு செய்தேன். அதற்கான பலன் படத்தில் தெளிவாக கிடைத்திருக்கிறது” என நம்பிக்கையுடன் சொல்கிறார்.

“The complete shoot was wrapped up in just 20 days. With proper planning, there wasn’t a single day of disruption. Nature cooperated fully—mist and rain arrived exactly when we needed them,” the director said.
Budget Discipline and Film Economics
Commenting on rising production costs in cinema, Bharathi stated,
“With proper planning, a good film can be made within ₹25 lakh. If a film runs well, it becomes a big film by itself. Spending ₹2 crore on the same content is unnecessary. This unplanned spending is what pushes cinema into crisis.”
While he acknowledged the necessity of large budgets for star-driven projects, he emphasized that
“Low-budget films cannot afford even small overruns. Producers simply cannot bear crore-level losses.”
Talent Over Market Value
Bharathi revealed that he never searched for producers with this script.
“I only looked for talented people. Every actor and technician in this film was selected purely on merit, not appearance or market value. The results are visible on screen.”
Stand on Censorship
Addressing the perception that the censor board is anti-creativity, he clarified,
“I don’t believe the censor board is against good cinema. They function according to defined rules. Filmmakers must understand those rules. My film had a few cuts; I made the corrections and the issue was resolved. Blaming the censor board is meaningless.”
He further noted that in 2025, several high-budget films featuring major stars were rejected by audiences, while small films with strong content succeeded.
“People cannot be fooled. A film that runs is a good film—and that itself becomes a big film.”
