IMDb Launches “Dekh Bhais” – A New ‘What to Watch’ Series Featuring Rohan Joshi and Aaditya Kulshreshth

The series showcases the ‘What to Watch’ features of IMDb with leading Indian creators

IMDb (www.imdb.com), the world’s most popular and authoritative source for information on movies, TV shows, and celebrities, today announced Dekh Bhais, a new series that introduces a fresh, conversational format to help audiences navigate what to watch with the help of IMDb. The series will be hosted by comedian Rohan Joshi and content creator Aaditya Kulshreshth (Kullu), as they explore IMDb’s discovery tools through unscripted discussions around films and shows with their guests. Hosted across IMDb’s social channels, Dekh Bhais turns everyday viewing dilemmas into engaging conversations, while spotlighting IMDb’s ‘What to Watch’ features.

Each episode will present a unique theme or challenge that may resonate with fans everywhere, turning the content discovery process into an entertaining experience, while showcasing how IMDb can be an integral part of their entertainment journey through its advanced search capabilities, personalized recommendations, and curated lists.

In the first episode of the series, which brings Joshi and Kullu together, Joshi spoke about his connection to films that capture the essence of a city, saying, “I am a big fan of any movie where I feel like I can smell Mumbai. I don’t know how to explain it but there are some movies when you watch them, you’re like ‘I can smell my city’. And Maqbool is one of those.”

While browsing trivia around the movie on IMDb, Kullu added, “At that time everyone wanted to do the Maqbool role. At first it was Kay Kay Menon, but he had long hair and they wanted a bald look. Then they went to Kamal Haasan. Kamal Haasan was supposed to play Maqbool. And it was a long discussion. There is so much trivia about Maqbool, I have a lot of it and even you can find it on IMDb.”

Recalling a personal memory tied to his movie choices, Kullu said, “There is this problem with people like us who watch a lot of movies. We don’t realise that watching a good film is not equivalent to being happy. I remember a long time back, I went on a date to watch a movie and it was a special screening. And I took the person to watch the movie with me and she was so furious when the movie ended. She said that she won’t meet me again since I am taking her to a movie like this on a first date. And the movie was called Requiem for a Dream.”
