கிணறு’ (‘The Well’): மெட்ராஸ் ஸ்டோரிஸ் தயாரிப்பில் ஹரிகுமரன் இயக்கத்தில் உருவாகியுள்ள குழந்தைகள் திரைப்படம்
திறமைவாய்ந்த இயக்குநர்கள் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பக் கலைஞர்களை அறிமுகப்படுத்தும் நோக்கில் இயங்கி வரும் மெட்ராஸ் ஸ்டோரிஸ் நிறுவனம் ‘புர்கா’ மற்றும் ‘லைன்மேன்’ உள்ளிட்ட பாராட்டுகளை பெற்ற படங்களைத் தொடர்ந்து ‘கிணறு’ திரைப்படத்தை தயாரித்துள்ளது.
சூர்யா நாராயணன் மற்றும் வினோத் சேகர் தயாரிப்பில் ஹரிகுமரன் இயக்கியுள்ள ‘கிணறு’ குழந்தைகளுக்கான திரைப்படமாக உருவாகி ஆறு சர்வதேச விருதுகளை வென்றுள்ளது. இப்படம் குழந்தைகள் தினத்தை முன்னிட்டு நவம்பர் 14 அன்று திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகிறது. சென்னையில் நடைபெற்ற செலிப்ரிட்டி பிரிமியர் காட்சியில் 30 ஆசிரம குழந்தைகளோடு திரைப்பிரபலங்கள் பங்கேற்று படத்தைக் கண்டு மகிழ்ந்து வாழ்த்து தெரிவித்தனர்.
பெகாசஸ் திரைப்பட விழா 2024, அக்கலேட் உலகளாவிய திரைப்படப் போட்டி, இண்டிஃபெஸ்ட் திரைப்பட விருதுகள் உள்ளிட்ட விழாக்களில் சிறந்த படம், ஒளிப்பதிவு மற்றும் இயக்கத்திற்கான விருதுகளை பெற்ற ‘கிணறு’, சென்னை சர்வதேச திரைப்பட விழா 2024ல் உலக சினிமாப் போட்டி பிரிவில் அதிகாரப்பூர்வ போட்டித் தேர்வாக இடம்பெற்றது.
திரைப்படம் குறித்து பேசிய இயக்குநர் ஹரிகுமரன், “குழந்தைத்தனம், நட்பு, நம்பிக்கை, குடும்ப உணர்வு ஆகியவற்றை மையமாகக் கொண்ட கதையை கிணறு சொல்கிறது. ஒரு கிராமத்தை சேர்ந்த நான்கு பிள்ளைகள், அருகிலுள்ள வீட்டின் கிணற்றில் விளையாடுவதற்காக அடக்கப்பட்டு, அவமானப்படுத்தப்படுகிறார்கள். அதனால், தங்களுக்காகவே ஒரு கிணறு தோண்ட முடிவு செய்கிறார்கள். ஆனால், தடைகள் அவர்களின் முன்னே நிற்கின்றன. கனவு நோக்கி ஓடும் இப்பயணம் குழந்தைகளின் கண்களில் அழகாகச் சொல்லப்படுகிறது. குழந்தைகள் மட்டுமல்ல பெரியவர்களும் ரசிக்கும், உணர்ச்சியும் நகைச்சுவையும் நிறைந்த குடும்பப்படமாக ‘கிணறு’ வெளியாகிறது,” என்று தெரிவித்தார்.

Madras Stories, a production company focused on introducing talented filmmakers and technicians, and acclaimed for films such as ‘Burkha’ and ‘Lineman’, is proud to present its latest production — Kinaru’ (The Well), a children’s film directed by Harikumaran and bankrolled by Suriya Narayanan and Vinod Sekar.
The film, which has already won six international awards, is set for a theatrical release on November 14 to mark Children’s Day. At the celebrity premiere screening held in Chennai, 30 ashram children were joined by film personalities who enjoyed watching the movie and expressed their congratulations.
‘Kinaru’ has received honors for Best Film, Cinematography, and Direction at prestigious events such as the Pegasus Film Festival 2024, the Accolade Global Film Competition, and the IndieFEST Film Awards. It was also officially selected in the World Cinema Competition section at the Chennai International Film Festival 2024.
Speaking about the film, director Harikumaran said, “Kinaru tells a story centered around childhood, friendship, faith, and family bonds. It follows four children from a village who are humiliated and forbidden from playing near a neighbour’s well.
Determined to create a space of their own, they decide to dig their own well — a journey that faces many obstacles. This pursuit of their dream is told beautifully through the eyes of children. ‘Kinaru’ is not just for kids; it’s a heartwarming and humorous family film that everyone can enjoy.”
