13 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு திரும்பும் ‘மூடர் கூடம்’… இந்த முறை களம் இந்தியா மட்டும் இல்லை, உலகம்!

‘Moodar Koodam 2: Mission Possible’ Brings Back the Cult Classic After 13 Years With a Bigger Global Canvas
Some films earn cult status over time rather than at the box office. Moodar Koodam is one such Tamil film that found a loyal fan following years after its release, thanks to its offbeat humour, quirky characters and unconventional storytelling. Now, after a gap of 13 years, the franchise is set to return with ‘Moodar Koodam 2: Mission Possible.’
Directed by Naveen Hidayath, who also helmed the original, the sequel promises to be much more than a continuation of the first film. While retaining the signature dark humour that made Moodar Koodam a cult favourite, the new installment expands its scope with action, fantasy and an international backdrop.
The recently unveiled first-look poster hints at the film’s ambitious scale. Set against a snow-covered landscape, it features four armed characters preparing for what appears to be an impossible mission. Adding a touch of the franchise’s trademark absurdity is a teddy bear holding a gun alongside the tagline, “Happy Life,” while the subtitle “Mission Possible” playfully sets the tone for the film.
Unlike its predecessor, Moodar Koodam 2 has been shot across several international locations, including Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia and Kazakhstan. The makers have also roped in a Hollywood-experienced American VFX team to create the film’s visual world, aiming to deliver a larger-than-life cinematic experience.
Speaking about the sequel, director Naveen Hidayath said that fans have been asking about a follow-up for years, but he never wanted to make a sequel simply for the sake of it. Instead, he waited until he found a story that could genuinely surprise audiences while staying true to the spirit of the original film.
The film stars Naveen Hidayath, Oviya, Sendrayan, Rajaji, Kuberen and Jayaprakash in key roles.
The technical crew includes cinematographer Suraj Nallusamy, music composer Amrish, background score composer Natarajan Sankaran, editor Athiyappan Siva, and sound designer Vijay Rathinam MPSE. The visual effects are being handled by an international team led by K.A. Basha.
