போலீஸ் ஸ்டேஷன் பின்னணியில் உருவாகும் புதிய காதல் திரைப்படம் தயாராகி வருகிறது. Fire Fox Film House நிறுவனம் சார்பில் தயாரிப்பாளர் சரணிகா தயாரிக்கும் இந்த திரைப்படம் தற்போது ‘புரொடக்ஷன் நம்பர் 1’ என்ற பெயரில் உருவாகி வருகிறது.
இத்திரைப்படத்தின் மூலம் மணிகண்டன் செல்வராஜ் இயக்குநராக அறிமுகமாகிறார். இயக்குநர் அறிவழகன் அவர்களிடம் உதவி இயக்குநராக பணியாற்றிய அனுபவம் கொண்ட மணிகண்டன் செல்வராஜ், இப்படத்தை இயக்குவதுடன் கதாநாயகனாகவும் நடித்துள்ளார். இவருடன் இயக்குநரும் நடிகருமான ஆ. வெங்கடேஷ் முக்கியமான திருப்புமுனை கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடித்துள்ளார். மேலும், அருவி மதன் முக்கிய வேடத்தில் தோன்றுகிறார்.
தமிழ் திரைப்பட ரசிகர்கள் புதுமையான கதை மற்றும் வித்தியாசமான திரைக்கதைகளை அதிகம் வரவேற்று வரும் நிலையில், இந்த திரைப்படம் போலீஸ் ஸ்டேஷன் பின்னணியில் அமைந்த காதல் கதையாக உருவாகியுள்ளது. காதல், ஆக்ஷன் மற்றும் வணிக அம்சங்களை சமநிலையாக இணைத்து, அனைத்து தரப்பு ரசிகர்களையும் கவரும் வகையில் படம் உருவாக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
இந்த படத்தில் ‘டாக்டர்’ திரைப்படத்தில் நடித்த ஸ்ரீஜா ரவி முக்கியமான மற்றும் அழுத்தமான கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடித்துள்ளார். ‘டைரி’, ‘குற்றம் 23’ போன்ற படங்களில் நடித்த தணிகை முக்கிய வேடத்தில் நடிக்கிறார். இவர்களுடன் பல புதிய முகங்களும் இப்படத்தின் மூலம் அறிமுகமாகின்றனர்.
இத்திரைப்படத்தின் முதல்கட்ட படப்பிடிப்பு 5 பிப்ரவரி 2026 அன்று சென்னை நகரில் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. தொடர்ந்து இரண்டாம் கட்ட படப்பிடிப்பு சென்னை மற்றும் அதன் சுற்றுவட்டார பகுதிகளில் நடைபெற உள்ளது.
Fire Fox Film House நிறுவனம் சார்பில் தயாரிப்பாளர் சரணிகா தயாரிக்கும் இப்படத்திற்கு கிரி மர்ஃபி ஒளிப்பதிவு செய்கிறார். புதுமுக இசையமைப்பாளர் ஹரி இசையமைக்கிறார். இப்படத்தின் ஃபர்ஸ்ட் லுக் மற்றும் டீசர் விரைவில் அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக வெளியிடப்படும் என படக்குழு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

Aew romantic film set against the backdrop of a police station is currently under production. Presented by Fire Fox Film House and produced by Saranika, the film is being made under the title “Production No. 1.”
The film marks the directorial debut of Manikandan Selvaraj, who also plays the lead role. Having previously worked as an assistant director to filmmaker Arivazhagan, Manikandan Selvaraj brings his experience to this project as both director and actor. He is joined by director-actor A. Venkatesh, who appears in a crucial role that serves as a major turning point in the story. Aruvi Madhan also plays an important character.
At a time when Tamil cinema audiences are increasingly welcoming fresh concepts and distinctive screenplays, this film stands out with its unique setting of a police station and a love story at its core. Blending romance, action, and commercial elements in equal measure, the film is being crafted to appeal to audiences across all sections.
Sreeja Ravi, known for her performance in Doctor, appears in a strong and impactful role. Thanigai, who has acted in films such as Diary and Kuttram 23, plays a key character. Several new faces are also being introduced through this film.
The first schedule of shooting began on February 5, 2026, in Chennai. The second schedule will be filmed in and around Chennai.
Produced by Saranika under the banner of Fire Fox Film House, the film has cinematography by Giri Murphy and music composed by newcomer Hari. The film’s first look and teaser are expected to be officially released soon.
