இந்தியாவின் முன்னணி ஓடிடி தளமான ZEE5-இல் கடந்த பிப்ரவரி 27 அன்று வெளியான தமிழ் ஒரிஜினல் வெப் சீரிஸ் “தடயம்”, வெளியான சில நாட்களிலேயே பார்வையாளர்களிடையே பெரும் வரவேற்பைப் பெற்று 100 மில்லியன் பார்வை நிமிடங்களை கடந்து சாதனை படைத்துள்ளது. உண்மை சம்பவங்களின் பின்னணியில் உருவான இந்த க்ரைம் த்ரில்லர் தொடர், பரபரப்பும் மர்மமும் கலந்த கதைக்களத்தால் ரசிகர்களையும் விமர்சகர்களையும் ஈர்த்துள்ளது.

ZEE5 சார்பில் பேசிய கௌஷிக் நரசிம்மன்,

The Tamil original web series “Thadayam”, which premiered on the leading Indian OTT platform on February 27, has achieved a remarkable milestone by crossing 100 million streaming minutes within just a few days of its release. The crime-thriller series, inspired by real-life incidents, has been receiving widespread appreciation from both audiences and critics for its gripping narrative and suspense-filled storytelling.
Unlike conventional crime thrillers in Tamil, “Thadayam” presents a unique investigative narrative rooted in realism. The fact that it reached 100 million streaming minutes in such a short span highlights the strong reception it has received among viewers.
To celebrate this achievement, the team of “Thadayam” met members of the press and media to express their gratitude for the overwhelming support and positive reviews.
Speaking on behalf of ZEE5, said that usually the complete response to a web series becomes evident only after several weeks of release. However, “Thadayam” crossed 100 million streaming minutes even before completing a week, which he described as a significant milestone. He also mentioned that while previous ZEE5 series such as Vilangu and Ayali had received strong responses, “Thadayam” achieved this level of viewership in a much shorter period. He thanked the viewers, stating that such success would not have been possible without their support.
Producer from expressed his gratitude, saying the love and appreciation for “Thadayam” has been overwhelming. He noted that this is his first project as a producer, and seeing it achieve such a massive success is extremely gratifying. Editor said that when director first shared the script, the team immediately felt that the story would captivate audiences. He added that the current success proves that their belief in the project was right.
Director stated that the success of the series was the result of the support and dedication of many people. He particularly thanked the ZEE5 team and producer Ajay Krishna for their confidence in the project. He also mentioned that the entire series had to be completed within a tight schedule of around 20 days, and despite the challenges, the team’s commitment made the success possible.
Actor said he was delighted by the overwhelming response and revealed that appreciation messages have been pouring in from various parts of Tamil Nadu.
Writer and actress shared that “Thadayam” turned out to be a major opportunity in her career. She said the role gave her a new level of confidence as an artist.
Veteran television personality praised the series, stating that when he watched it at home, it did not feel like a web series but rather like watching a full-fledged film due to the quality of direction and technical work.
