In a way, it also gave me closure. I always knew that there was a village near Ludhiana, my grandfather’s village in Gurdaspur. But there’s nothing left of it now. No house, no physical trace — maybe a few distant relatives we’re not even in touch with. That kind of loss stays with you. So, when we were shooting in the village, I genuinely felt like I had come home. That gave me a sense of peace I didn’t know I needed.”
