யுனெஸ்கோ உலக மேடையில் 6 வயது இந்தியச் சிறுமிக்கு சர்வதேச அங்கீகாரம்
இந்தியாவைச் சேர்ந்த 6 வயது சுற்றுச்சூழல் ஆர்வலர் ரூஹி மொஹசப், தாய்லாந்து நாட்டின் Bangkok நகரில் நடைபெற்ற சர்வதேச மாநாட்டில் கௌரவிக்கப்பட்டு புதிய சாதனை படைத்துள்ளார்.
2026ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான “Global Conference on Education for a Sustainable Future (GCE 2026)” மாநாடு, United Nations ஆசிய–பசிபிக் தலைமையகத்தில் உள்ள United Nations Conference Centre, Bangkok வளாகத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. இந்த மாநாடு UNESCO Youth Education Research Center தலைமையில், Sustainable Development Council இணைப்பில் நடத்தப்பட்டது.
இந்த முக்கிய சர்வதேச மேடையில், காமன் கிரவுண்ட் இன்டர்நேஷனல் அகாடமி பள்ளியின் முதலாம் வகுப்பு மாணவி ரூஹி மொஹசப் முக்கிய உரையாளராக (Keynote Speaker) அழைக்கப்பட்டார். உலகம் முழுவதும் இருந்து வந்த கல்வியாளர்கள், கொள்கை வடிவமைப்பாளர்கள், இளைஞர் தலைவர்கள் மற்றும் வளர்ச்சி நிபுணர்கள் முன்னிலையில், நிலையான எதிர்காலம் குறித்த தனது கருத்துகளை அவர் பகிர்ந்தார்.
“குழந்தைகள் நாளைய எதிர்காலம் மட்டுமல்ல; இன்றைய பூமியின் பாதுகாவலர்களும் ஆவர்” என்ற கருத்தை மையமாகக் கொண்டு அவர் ஆற்றிய உரை, மாநாட்டு அரங்கில் பெரும் வரவேற்பைப் பெற்றது.
இந்த நிகழ்வில், பூடான் நாட்டின் கல்வியமைச்சர் Yeezang Dee Thapa அவர்கள், ரூஹிக்கு “SDG Impact Award” விருதை வழங்கி கௌரவித்தார்.
மேலும், UNESCO தனது அதிகாரப்பூர்வ அறிக்கையில், சுற்றுச்சூழல் விழிப்புணர்வு மற்றும் காலநிலை செயற்பாட்டில் ரூஹியின் பங்களிப்பை பாராட்டியுள்ளது.
இந்த அங்கீகாரம், ஒரு தனிநபர் சாதனையைத் தாண்டி, இந்திய இளம் தலைமுறையின் உலகளாவிய ஈடுபாட்டை வெளிப்படுத்தும் முக்கிய தருணமாக பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. வயது என்பது தலைமைத்துவத்திற்கும் சமூக தாக்கத்திற்கும் தடையல்ல என்பதை ரூஹியின் சாதனை மீண்டும் நினைவூட்டுகிறது.
இந்த சர்வதேச அங்கீகாரத்தின் மூலம், யுனெஸ்கோ தலைமையிலான உலக அரங்கில் கௌரவிக்கப்பட்ட இந்தியாவின் இளம் குழந்தை சுற்றுச்சூழல் ஆர்வலராக ரூஹி மொஹசப் வரலாற்றில் இடம்பிடித்துள்ளார்.
6-Year-Old Indian Environmental Advocate Honoured on Global UNESCO Platform
Six-year-old Indian environmental enthusiast Ruhi Mohasab has achieved a remarkable milestone by being honoured at an international conference held in Bangkok, Thailand.
The “Global Conference on Education for a Sustainable Future (GCE 2026)” was held at the United Nations Conference Centre, Bangkok, located at the Asia-Pacific headquarters of the United Nations. The conference was organized under the leadership of the UNESCO Youth Education Research Center in collaboration with the Sustainable Development Council, which holds special consultative status with ECOSOC.
Ruhi Mohasab, a Grade 1 student of Common Ground International Academy, was invited as a Keynote Speaker at this prestigious global forum. Addressing an audience that included educators, policymakers, youth leaders, and development experts from around the world, she shared her thoughts on building a sustainable future.
Her speech centered on the powerful message:
“Children are not just the future — they are also the protectors of Mother Earth today,” which received widespread appreciation from attendees.
During the event, Bhutan’s Education Minister, Yeezang Dee Thapa, presented Ruhi with the “SDG Impact Award” in recognition of her contributions.
In its official statement, UNESCO commended Ruhi’s notable efforts in promoting environmental awareness and climate action.
This recognition is seen not only as a personal achievement but also as a proud moment for India, highlighting the growing global
engagement of the country’s young generation. Ruhi’s accomplishment reinforces the message that age is no barrier to leadership, courage, or meaningful impact.
With this honour, Ruhi Mohasab has etched her name in history as one of India’s youngest environmental advocates to be recognized on a UNESCO-led global platform.
