பிரபலங்கள் அல்ல… படப்பிடிப்பு நடந்த கிராம மக்களே ‘என்ன விலை’ படத்தின் முதல் ரசிகர்களும் முதல் வெளியீட்டாளர்களும்!
திரைப்பட உலகில் ஒரு படத்தின் முதல் பார்வை (First Look) வெளியாகும் தருணம் என்பது பெரும்பாலும் நட்சத்திரங்கள், சமூக வலைதளங்கள் அல்லது பிரம்மாண்ட நிகழ்ச்சிகளுடன் இணைந்திருக்கும். ஆனால், அந்த மரபை முறியடித்து மனிதநேயத்திற்கும் நன்றியுணர்விற்கும் முன்னுரிமை அளிக்கும் விதமாக ‘என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படக் குழு எடுத்துள்ள முயற்சி தற்போது அனைவரின் கவனத்தையும் ஈர்த்துள்ளது.
தனுஷ்கோடி அருகே அமைந்துள்ள பாலம் கிராமம், ‘என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படத்தின் முக்கிய படப்பிடிப்பு தளமாக இருந்தது. படப்பிடிப்பு நாட்களில் படக்குழுவை தங்கள் சொந்த குடும்பத்தினரைப் போல அரவணைத்து, முழு ஒத்துழைப்பையும் வழங்கிய அந்த கிராம மக்களுக்கே படத்தின் முதல் பார்வையை வெளியிடும் பெருமையை படக்குழு வழங்கியுள்ளது.
இதற்காக கிராமத்தில் நடைபெற்ற நிகழ்ச்சி, வழக்கமான சினிமா புரமோஷன் நிகழ்ச்சியை விட ஒரு நன்றியறிதல் விழாவாகவே மாறியது. கிராம மக்களின் பாரம்பரிய கலைநிகழ்ச்சிகள், நாட்டுப்புற இசை மற்றும் உற்சாக வரவேற்புகளுடன் மாலை நேரம் விழாக்கோலமாக தொடங்கியது. அதன் பிறகு அனைவரும் ஆவலுடன் எதிர்பார்த்திருந்த ‘என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படத்தின் ஃபர்ஸ்ட் லுக் வெளியிடப்பட்டது.
முதல் பார்வை வெளியீட்டிற்குப் பின்னர் படக்குழுவினரும் கிராம மக்களும் ஒன்றாக கலந்து உரையாடி தங்களது அனுபவங்களை பகிர்ந்து கொண்டனர். நிகழ்ச்சியின் நிறைவாக பாரம்பரிய கிராம விருந்து ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தது. சினிமா மற்றும் சமூக உறவு இணைந்த அந்த மாலை, கலந்து கொண்ட அனைவரின் மனதிலும் மறக்க முடியாத நினைவாக பதிந்தது.
கலாமயா சினிவர்ஸ் நிறுவனத்தின் சார்பில் ஜித்தேஷ் விஸ்வம்பரன் மற்றும் அனு கோபால் வேணுகோபாலன் தயாரித்துள்ள ‘என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படத்தை சஜீவ் பழூர் எழுதி இயக்கியுள்ளார். சமூக மற்றும் அரசியல் பின்னணியில் உருவாகியுள்ள இந்த குடும்பத் த்ரில்லர் திரைப்படத்தில் கருணாஸ் மற்றும் நிமிஷா சஜயன் முன்னணி கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர்.
மேலும் ஒய்.ஜி. மகேந்திரன், பூர்ணிமா பாக்யராஜ், மோகன் ராம், லொள்ளு சபா சுவாமிநாதன், கவிதாலயா கிருஷ்ணன், தீபா சங்கர், மொட்டை ராஜேந்திரன், நக்கலைட்ஸ் கவி உள்ளிட்ட பலரும் முக்கிய வேடங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர்.
திரைப்படம் ஏற்கனவே தாதாசாகேப் பால்கே சர்வதேச திரைப்பட விழாவில் சிறந்த திரைக்கதைக்கான விருதை வென்று கவனம் பெற்றுள்ளது. இதன் மூலம் படத்தின் திரையரங்கு வெளியீட்டை எதிர்நோக்கும் ரசிகர்களின் எதிர்பார்ப்பும் அதிகரித்துள்ளது.
இது குறித்து தயாரிப்பாளர் ஜித்தேஷ் கூறுகையில், “ஒரு திரைப்படத்தின் வெற்றிக்கு பின்னால் எண்ணற்ற மனிதர்களின் பங்களிப்பு இருக்கும். பாலம் கிராம மக்கள் எங்களுக்கு வழங்கிய அன்பும் ஆதரவும் அளவிட முடியாதது. அந்த நன்றியை வெளிப்படுத்தும் ஒரு சிறிய முயற்சியாகவே இந்த முதல் பார்வை வெளியீட்டை அவர்களிடம் ஒப்படைத்தோம்,” என்றார்.
இயக்குநர் சஜீவ் பழூர் கூறுகையில், “ஒரு கதைக்காக ஒரு இடத்தை தேர்வு செய்கிறோம். ஆனால் சில நேரங்களில் அந்த இடமும் அங்குள்ள மக்களும் கதையின் ஒரு பகுதியாகவே மாறிவிடுகின்றனர். ‘என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படத்திற்கு பாலம் கிராம மக்கள் அளித்த பாசமும் ஆதரவும் எங்களுக்கு என்றும் மறக்க முடியாத ஒன்று. அதனால் இந்த திரைப்படம் உலகத்தைச் சந்திப்பதற்கு முன், முதலில் அவர்களைச் சந்திக்க வேண்டும் என்று நாங்கள் விரும்பினோம்,” என்றார்.
பொதுவாக ஒரு திரைப்படம் ரசிகர்களைத் தேடி செல்கிறது. ஆனால் ‘என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படம் திரைக்கு வருவதற்கு முன்பே தனது முதல் ரசிகர்களை கண்டுபிடித்துவிட்டது. அந்த ரசிகர்கள் சினிமா பிரபலங்களோ விமர்சகர்களோ அல்ல; படத்தை தங்களுடையதாக ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட பாலம் கிராம மக்கள்தான். அந்த மக்களின் அன்பையும் பங்களிப்பையும் கௌரவிப்பதன் மூலம், ‘என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படத்தின் பயணம் சமூக ஒற்றுமை, நன்றியுணர்வு மற்றும் இனிய மனித உறவுகளுடன் தொடங்கியுள்ளது.
Not Celebrities, But Villagers Unveil the First Look of ‘Enna Vilai’
In an era where film first looks are typically unveiled by celebrities or launched through digital platforms amid much fanfare, the team of Enna Vilai has chosen a heartfelt and unconventional path that has won widespread appreciation.
Instead of relying on star power or social media campaigns, the makers entrusted the people of Paalam village, near Dhanushkodi, where a major portion of the film was shot, with the honor of unveiling the film’s first look. The villagers, who warmly welcomed and supported the crew throughout the shooting process, came together to introduce Enna Vilai to the world.
What began as a first-look launch soon transformed into a celebration of gratitude and community spirit. The event commenced with traditional folk performances presented by the villagers, creating a festive atmosphere that reflected the rich cultural heritage of the region. Amid great excitement, the much-awaited first look of the film was officially unveiled.
Following the launch, members of the film’s cast and crew interacted with the villagers, sharing memories and experiences from the shoot. The evening concluded with a traditional village feast, making it a memorable occasion for everyone in attendance.
Produced under the banner of Kalamaya Ciniverse by Jithesh Viswambaran and Anu Gopal Venugopalan, Enna Vilai is written and directed by Sajeev Pazhoor. Set against a socio-political backdrop, the family thriller features Karunas and Nimisha Sajayan in lead roles.
The film also stars Y.G. Mahendran, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Mohan Ram, Lollu Sabha Swaminathan, Kavithalaya Krishnan, Deepa Shankar, Motta Rajendran, Nakkalites Kavi, and several other talented actors in pivotal roles.
Adding to its achievements, Enna Vilai has already received the award for Best Screenplay at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival, further raising expectations ahead of its theatrical release.
Speaking about the unique launch, producer Jithesh said, “Every film has a beginning, but only a few get the opportunity to begin with gratitude. The people of Paalam village showered us with immense love and support during the making of this film. We felt they deserved the honor of introducing Enna Vilai to the world. This was not merely a promotional event; it was our heartfelt way of thanking them.”
Director Sajeev Pazhoor added, “When making a film, we choose locations that suit the story. Sometimes, however, the location and its people become an integral part of that story. The people of Paalam village embraced us like family throughout the shoot. Before presenting this film to audiences across the world, we wanted it to belong to them first. This first-look launch will remain one of our happiest memories.”
