தமிழ் சினிமாவில் தொடர்ந்து பல வகை திரில்லர் படங்கள் வெளியாகி வரும் நிலையில், குடும்ப பாசத்தையும் மனநிலைக் கலக்கத்தையும் திகில் கலந்த திரைக்கதையுடன் இணைத்து புதிய அனுபவத்தை தரவிருக்கிறது “இரட்டையர்”.
Asia Iconic Studios நிறுவனம் தயாரித்துள்ள இந்த திரைப்படத்தை அறிமுக இயக்குநர் ஜெகதீஷ் இயக்கியுள்ளார். தயாரிப்பாளர்களாக ராஜேஸ்வரி லக்ஷ்மிநாராயணன் மற்றும் வினோத் கண்ணன் இணைந்துள்ள நிலையில், ஹரிஹரன் இணை தயாரிப்பாளராக பணியாற்றியுள்ளார். இப்படம் வரும் ஜூன் 5ஆம் தேதி சிவானி ஸ்டுடியோஸ் மூலம் உலகம் முழுவதும் திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகிறது.
பொதுவாக ஹாரர் அல்லது திரில்லர் படங்களில் பேய், கொலை அல்லது விசாரணை போன்ற அம்சங்களே மையமாக இருக்கும். ஆனால் “இரட்டையர்” திரைப்படம், ஒரு தாயும் அவரது இரட்டை பெண் குழந்தைகளும் இடையே உருவாகும் உளவியல் ரீதியான அச்ச உணர்வுகளை மையமாகக் கொண்டு உருவாக்கப்பட்டிருப்பது படத்தின் மிகப்பெரிய பலமாக பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.

இப்படத்தில் அபிநயா தாயாக வித்தியாசமான கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடித்துள்ளார். இரட்டை குழந்தைகளாக அனுமிதா மற்றும் அனுஷிதா நடித்துள்ளனர். மேலும் சுப்ரமணிய சிவா மற்றும் சங்கீதா ஆகியோரும் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர்.

Psychological Horror Thriller “Irattaiyar” Set for Worldwide Release on June 5
At a time when Tamil cinema continues to explore different shades of thrillers, “Irattaiyar” promises to deliver a unique cinematic experience by blending family emotions, psychological fear, and intense horror elements.
Produced by Asia Iconic Studios, the film marks the directorial debut of Jagadeesh. The movie is jointly produced by Rajeswari Lakshminarayanan and Vinoth Kannan, with Hariharan serving as co-producer. “Irattaiyar” is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on June 5 through Shivani Studios.
Unlike conventional horror thrillers that revolve around ghosts, murders, or investigations, “Irattaiyar” takes a completely different route by focusing on the psychological fear and emotional bond between a mother and her twin daughters. This fresh narrative approach has already generated strong curiosity among movie lovers.
The story revolves around a family shattered by a tragic accident in which the father loses his life, while the mother suffers severe facial injuries. After undergoing plastic surgery, she returns home — but her behavior begins to change in disturbing ways. What initially appears unusual soon turns terrifying, deeply affecting the lives of her twin daughters. What is the mystery hidden behind the mother’s transformation? What horrifying experiences await the children? These questions form the gripping core of the film’s suspense-driven screenplay.
Ever since the release of the first-look poster and trailer, the film has been creating buzz among audiences. The dark visuals, tension-filled atmosphere, the mother’s eerie expressions, and the emotionally intense performances of the twin girls have particularly caught viewers’ attention.
Actress Abhinaya plays the mother in a strikingly different role, while Anumitha and Anushitha portray the twin daughters. The cast also includes Subramania Siva and Sangeetha in pivotal roles.
The film was shot entirely in just 21 days across Thittakudi and Kodaikanal, and is currently in its final stages of post-production.
With a combination of psychological suspense, emotional depth, and spine-chilling horror, “Irattaiyar” is expected to offer audiences a fresh and intense theatrical experience this June.
