தென்னிந்திய திரைப்பட எழுத்தாளர்கள் சங்கத்தில் புதிய நிர்வாகிகள் பொறுப்பேற்பு; ஒற்றுமைக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் அளித்த சேரன் – வி.சி. குகநாதன் வாழ்த்து
சென்னை: தென்னிந்திய திரைப்பட எழுத்தாளர்கள் சங்கத்தின் புதிய நிர்வாகிகளின் பதவியேற்பு விழா வியாழக்கிழமை (ஜூலை 23) காலை, சங்க அலுவலகத்தில் எளிமையான முறையில் நடைபெற்றது.
நிகழ்வில் மூத்த திரைப்பட எழுத்தாளரும், சங்கத்தின் முன்னாள் தலைவர் வேட்பாளருமான வி.சி. குகநாதன் தலைமையேற்று, புதிய நிர்வாகிகளுக்கு உறுதிமொழி எடுத்துக்கொடுத்து, தேர்வுச் சான்றிதழ்களை வழங்கினார். தேர்தல் அதிகாரி உமாசங்கர் பாபு முன்னிலையில் பதவியேற்பு நிகழ்ச்சி நடைபெற்றது.
புதிய தலைவராக இயக்குநர் சேரன், பொதுச் செயலாளராக பட்டுக்கோட்டை பிரபாகர், பொருளாளராக ஆர். சுந்தர்ராஜன் ஆகியோர் பொறுப்பேற்றதுடன், நிர்வாகிகள் மற்றும் செயற்குழு உறுப்பினர்களும் பதவியேற்றனர்.
பதவியேற்புக்குப் பிறகு பேசிய தலைவர் சேரன், எழுத்தாளர்கள் சங்கத்தின் வளர்ச்சிக்கும், உறுப்பினர்களின் நலனுக்கும் அனைவரும் ஒருங்கிணைந்து செயல்பட வேண்டிய அவசியத்தை வலியுறுத்தினார். கருத்து வேறுபாடுகளைத் தாண்டி, சங்கத்தின் முன்னேற்றமே அனைவரின் பொதுவான இலக்காக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் அவர் குறிப்பிட்டார்.
தொடர்ந்து உரையாற்றிய வி.சி. குகநாதன், தேர்தல் முடிந்த நிலையில் போட்டி மனப்பான்மைக்கு இடமில்லை என்றும், இனி சங்கத்தில் இரண்டு அணிகள் என்ற நிலை இல்லாமல், அனைத்து உறுப்பினர்களும் ஒரே அணியாக இணைந்து செயல்பட வேண்டும் என்றும் வாழ்த்துத் தெரிவித்தார். ஒற்றுமையும், கூட்டுப்பணியும்தான் சங்கத்தின் எதிர்கால வளர்ச்சிக்கு வலுவான அடித்தளமாக அமையும் எனவும் அவர் கூறினார்.
புதிய நிர்வாகிகளின் பொறுப்பேற்பு நிகழ்வில் சங்க உறுப்பினர்கள் பலர் கலந்து கொண்டு வாழ்த்துகளைத் தெரிவித்தனர்.
South Indian Film Writers’ Association’s New Office-Bearers Assume Charge; Unity Takes Centre Stage
Chennai, July 23: The newly elected office-bearers of the South Indian Film Writers’ Association officially assumed charge at a simple swearing-in ceremony held at the Association’s office on Thursday.
The oath of office was administered by veteran screenwriter V.C. Guhanathan, who had also contested the Association’s presidential election. He presented the election certificates to the newly elected team in the presence of Election Officer Uma Shankar Babu.
Filmmaker Cheran took charge as President, while Pattukkottai Prabhakar assumed office as General Secretary and R. Sundarrajan as Treasurer. The newly elected executive committee members and office-bearers also took charge during the ceremony.
Addressing the gathering after assuming office, President Cheran stressed the importance of working collectively for the welfare and progress of the Association. He said that every member should unite with a common goal of strengthening the organisation and supporting the interests of film writers.
Veteran writer V.C. Guhanathan also congratulated the new leadership and underlined the need for unity after the elections. He remarked that there are no longer two rival groups within the Association and urged all members to work together as one team for the Association’s growth and future.
The ceremony was attended by members of the South Indian Film Writers’ Association, who extended their wishes to the newly elected office-bearers as they began their new responsibilities.
