The long-standing friendship and professional association between actors Sasikumar and Samuthirakani has received another moment of recognition. At the SIIMA 2026 Awards, both actors were honoured for their performances in different films, making it a special occasion for their fans.

Sasikumar was recognised for his performance in ‘Tourist Family’, while Samuthirakani won the Best Supporting Actor (Tamil) award for his performance in ‘Kantara’.

The fact that the two longtime friends received recognition at the same awards ceremony has added to the excitement among their fans, especially as they are now set to share the screen once again in their upcoming film ‘School Bus’.

Samuthirakani’s performance earns SIIMA recognition

Over the years, Samuthirakani has established himself as a versatile performer across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada cinema. Known for bringing naturality and realism to his performances, the actor has consistently taken on characters with varied shades and personalities.
