மூணாறு அருகிலுள்ள ஒரு சிறிய கிராமப் பள்ளி, சினிமா படப்பிடிப்பு காரணமாக எதிர்பாராத மாற்றத்தை கண்டுள்ளது. Movietron Production சார்பில் தயாராகி வரும் “அறிவு” திரைப்படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பு, ஒத்தப்பாறை பகுதியில் உள்ள அரசுப் பள்ளியில் நடைபெற்றது. ஆனால், இது சாதாரண படப்பிடிப்பாக மட்டுமே இல்லாமல், சமூகப் பொறுப்புணர்வின் ஒரு முக்கிய நிகழ்வாக மாறியுள்ளது.

படப்பிடிப்பு நடைபெறும் போது, பள்ளியின் அடிப்படை வசதிகள் குறைவாக உள்ளதை கவனித்த தயாரிப்பாளர் சாய்வினோத் ஜெயக்குமார், உடனடியாக நடவடிக்கை எடுத்தார். மாணவர்கள் நல்ல சூழலில் கல்வி கற்க வேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கில், பள்ளியின் முழுமையான மேம்பாட்டுப் பணிகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டன.

இதன் ஒரு பகுதியாக, பள்ளி கட்டிடங்கள் புதிதாகப் பெயிண்ட் செய்யப்பட்டது. பழுதடைந்த பகுதிகள் சீரமைக்கப்பட்டன. மேலும், மாணவர்களுக்கு அத்தியாவசியமான குடிநீர் வசதி ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டதுடன், தினசரி கல்வி நடவடிக்கைகளுக்கு தேவையான அடிப்படை அம்சங்களும் வழங்கப்பட்டன. பொருளாதார ரீதியாக பின்தங்கிய குடும்பங்களைச் சேர்ந்த மாணவர்கள் படிக்கும் இந்தப் பள்ளிக்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட இந்த உதவி, கல்வி சூழலை மேம்படுத்தும் ஒரு முக்கிய முன்னேற்றமாக பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.

“அறிவு” திரைப்படம் துவக்கத்திலிருந்தே பெண் உரிமைகள் மற்றும் சமூக அக்கறையை மையமாகக் கொண்ட கதைக்களத்தில் உருவாகி வருகிறது. இப்படத்தில் விஜய்குமார் மற்றும் ஆனந்தி முன்னணி கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடிக்க, I. M. விஜயன், சிங்கம்புலி, தீபா சங்கர் உள்ளிட்ட பலரும் முக்கிய வேடங்களில் இணைந்துள்ளனர். இயக்குநர் சத்யசிவா, சமூக கருத்துகளை விறுவிறுப்பான கதை சொல்லும் முறையில் வழங்குவதில் தனித்துவம் பெற்றவர் என்பதும் குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

மூணாறு பகுதிகளில் முதல்கட்ட படப்பிடிப்பு வெற்றிகரமாக நிறைவடைந்த நிலையில், தற்போது தேனி மாவட்டத்தில் இரண்டாம் கட்டப் படப்பிடிப்பு நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. தமிழ்ப் புத்தாண்டை முன்னிட்டு முழுப் படப்பிடிப்பையும் நிறைவு செய்ய திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

சினிமா என்பது பொழுதுபோக்கை மட்டுமே வழங்கும் ஊடகமல்ல, சமூகத்தில் நேர்மறையான மாற்றத்தை உருவாக்கும் சக்தி கொண்டது என்பதை “அறிவு” படக்குழு தனது செயலால் நிரூபித்துள்ளது. இந்த மனிதநேய முயற்சி, திரையுலகிற்கும் சமூகத்திற்கும் ஒரு முன்னுதாரணமாக பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.

“Beyond Cinema” – ‘Arivu’ Team’s Humanitarian Gesture Revives a Government School

A small village school near Munnar has witnessed an unexpected transformation, thanks to a film shoot that turned into a meaningful social initiative. The shooting of the upcoming film “Arivu”, produced by Movietron Production, took place at a government school in Othappara. What began as a routine shoot soon evolved into an inspiring act of social responsibility.

During the shoot, producer Saivinoth Jayakumar noticed the lack of basic facilities in the school. Moved by the condition, he immediately stepped in to improve the infrastructure, ensuring that students could study in a better environment.

As part of the initiative, the school buildings were freshly painted and necessary renovation work was carried out. Clean drinking water facilities were installed, and essential resources required for daily learning were provided. This support has significantly improved the learning conditions for students, many of whom come from economically underprivileged backgrounds.

From its inception, “Arivu” has been developed as a socially driven film focusing on women’s rights and relevant social issues. The film stars Vijay Kumar and Anandhi in lead roles, with I. M. Vijayan, Singampuli, and Deepa Shankar playing key supporting characters. Director Sathya Siva is known for presenting strong social themes through engaging storytelling.

The first schedule of the film has been successfully completed in Munnar, and the second phase is currently underway in Theni. The team aims to wrap up the entire shoot before the Tamil New Year.

Through this thoughtful initiative, the “Arivu” team has demonstrated that cinema is not just about entertainment—it also has the power to create real, positive change in society. This humanitarian effort stands as a commendable example for the film industry and beyond.
