“வேகமும் உணர்வும் இணையும் ‘பைக்கர்’ – இந்திய சினிமாவில் புதிய பாதை!”
சென்னையில் நடைபெற்ற ‘பைக்கர்’ படத்தின் தமிழ்ப்பதிப்பு பத்திரிகையாளர் சந்திப்பு, ஒரு சாதாரண புரமோஷன் நிகழ்வாக அல்லாமல், ஒரு புதிய திரைப்பட முயற்சியின் உற்சாகத்தை வெளிப்படுத்திய மேடையாக அமைந்தது. இந்தியாவில் மொட்டோகிராஸ் விளையாட்டை மையமாகக் கொண்டு உருவாகியுள்ள முதல் பெரிய முயற்சியாக இந்தப் படம் கவனம் ஈர்த்துள்ளது.
முன்னணி நடிகர் ஷர்வானந்த், டாக்டர் ராஜசேகர், மாளவிகா நாயர், அதுல் குல்கர்னி உள்ளிட்ட பலர் நடித்துள்ள இப்படத்தை அபிலாஷ் ரெட்டி இயக்கியுள்ளார். UV Creations நிறுவனம் தயாரித்துள்ள இந்த படம், 2026 ஏப்ரல் 3ஆம் தேதி பான் இந்திய அளவில் வெளியாகிறது.
இந்த சந்திப்பில் பேசிய படக்குழுவினர், ‘பைக்கர்’ ஒரு சாதாரண ரேசிங் படம் அல்ல; மனித உணர்வுகளையும், உறவுகளையும், கனவுகளையும் இணைக்கும் கதை என வலியுறுத்தினர்.
மோட்டார் சைக்கிள் பயிற்சியாளர் ரோஷிணி, “இது வெறும் சினிமா அனுபவம் அல்ல; நிஜ வாழ்க்கை ரேசிங் உலகத்தைப் பிரதிபலிக்கும் முயற்சி. குறிப்பாக பெண்கள் இந்த விளையாட்டில் முன்னேற வேண்டும் என்ற ஊக்கத்தை இப்படம் தரும்” என்றார்.
புரடக்ஷன் டிசைனர் ராஜீவன், “வெளிநாடுகளில் நடக்கும் ரேஸ்களை இந்தியாவில் உருவாக்குவது மிகப்பெரிய சவால். ஒவ்வொரு காலகட்டத்திற்கும் பொருந்தும் சூழலை உருவாக்குவதில் நுணுக்கமாக உழைத்தோம்” என தெரிவித்தார். இந்தோனேஷியா, ஆஸ்திரேலியா, நியூசிலாந்து போன்ற நாடுகளிலிருந்து தேவையான பொருட்கள் கொண்டு வரப்பட்டதாகவும் கூறினார்.
ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் மதி, “ஒரு மாத காலம் தொடர்ச்சியாக நடந்த ரேஸ் படப்பிடிப்பு என் வாழ்க்கையில் மறக்க முடியாத அனுபவம். இந்த படம் குழுவின் ஒருங்கிணைந்த உழைப்பின் சான்று” என்றார்.
இசையமைப்பாளர் ஜிப்ரான், “1990களிலிருந்து 2000கள் வரை நகரும் கதை என்பதால், அதன் ஒலியும் உணர்வும் தனித்துவமாக வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டது. பைக் ரேசிங் உலகின் அதிர்வை இசை மூலம் உணரச் செய்வது முக்கிய நோக்கம்” எனக் கூறினார்.
இயக்குநர் அபிலாஷ் ரெட்டி, “இந்தப் படம் ரேஸை மட்டும் பேசாது; மனிதர்களின் உள்ளுணர்வுகளையும் பேசும். தமிழ் ரசிகர்களும் இதை நிச்சயம் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வார்கள்” என்று நம்பிக்கை தெரிவித்தார். மேலும் எதிர்காலத்தில் தமிழ் படம் இயக்கும் ஆசையையும் பகிர்ந்தார்.
நடிகர் நிரூப், “இந்த படம் எனக்கு ஒரு வாய்ப்பு மட்டுமல்ல; ஒரு புதிய உலகம். ரசிகர்களுக்கு பல ஆச்சரியங்களை கொண்டுள்ளது” என்றார்.
நடிகை மாளவிகா நாயர், “சென்னை எனக்கு எப்போதும் ஸ்பெஷல். இந்தப் படத்திற்கும் நீங்கள் அதே அன்பை தர வேண்டும்” எனக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டார்.
டாக்டர் ராஜசேகர், தனது சமீபத்திய காயம் குறித்து பகிர்ந்து, “முறிவு இருந்தாலும், இந்தப் படத்தின் மீது இருக்கும் நம்பிக்கை அதிகம். இது பெரிய வெற்றி பெறும்” என்று உறுதியாக கூறினார்.
நிகழ்ச்சியின் மையமாக இருந்த ஷர்வானந்த், “இது என் திரைப்பயணத்தில் முக்கியமான படம். 22 கிலோ எடை குறைத்து, இரு வயது பரிமாணங்களில் நடித்துள்ளேன். இது என்னை நடிகராகவும் மனிதராகவும் மாற்றிய அனுபவம்” என உணர்ச்சியுடன் பகிர்ந்தார்.

The Chennai press meet for the Tamil version of Biker turned out to be more than just a promotional event—it reflected the passion and ambition behind a unique cinematic attempt. Positioned as India’s first major film centered on motocross racing, Biker has already created strong anticipation.
Starring Sharwanand, Dr. Rajasekhar, Malavika Nair, and Atul Kulkarni, the film is directed by Abhilash Reddy and produced by UV Creations. It is all set for a pan-India theatrical release on April 3, 2026.
At the event, the team emphasized that Biker is not just about racing, but a story that blends human emotions, relationships, and dreams.
Motorcycle trainer Roshini shared, “This isn’t just a cinematic experience—it reflects the real-world racing culture. I believe the film will especially inspire women to step into this sport.”
Production designer Rajeevan spoke about the challenges, saying, “Recreating international-style racing environments in India was a huge task. We paid close attention to details across different timelines.” He also revealed that key materials were sourced from countries like Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Cinematographer Mathi added, “The one-month-long racing schedule was an unforgettable experience. This film stands as a testament to the team’s collective effort.”
Music composer Ghibran noted, “Since the story spans the 1990s to the 2000s, we crafted a unique soundscape. Capturing the intensity of bike racing through sound design was crucial.”
Director Abhilash Reddy said, “This film goes beyond racing—it explores deep human emotions. I strongly believe Tamil audiences will connect with it.” He also expressed his desire to direct a Tamil film in the future.
