“பராசக்தி” – பெயரே அரசியல்… இசை வெளியீட்டு விழாவே ஒரு அறிக்கை!
தமிழ் சினிமாவின் வரலாற்றுப் பக்கங்களில் மீண்டும் ஒரு தீவிரமான அரசியல்–கலாச்சார உரையாடலைத் தொடங்கும் படமாக உருவாகியுள்ள “பராசக்தி” திரைப்படத்தின் இசை வெளியீட்டு விழா, சென்னையை தாண்டி மாநிலம் முழுவதும் கவனத்தை ஈர்த்த நிகழ்வாக அமைந்தது.

1960-களின் வரலாற்றுப் பின்னணியில் தமிழின் அடையாளம், சுயமரியாதை, மாணவர் அரசியல் ஆகியவற்றை மையமாகக் கொண்டு உருவாகியுள்ளது.

சென்னை தாம்பரம் சாய் ராம் கல்லூரி வளாகத்தில் நடைபெற்ற இசை வெளியீட்டு விழாவில், ஆயிரக்கணக்கான ரசிகர்கள் முன்னிலையில், படக்குழுவினரின் பேச்சுகள் படம் குறித்த எதிர்பார்ப்பை பல மடங்கு உயர்த்தின.
“பராசக்தி பெயரே ஒரு சக்தி” – சிவகார்த்திகேயன்
“பராசக்தி என்ற வார்த்தையே ஒரு தாக்கம். அந்த தாக்கத்துக்கு ஏற்ற படம் இது” என்று பேசிய சிவகார்த்திகேயன்,
இந்த படம் பார்வையாளர்களை 1960-களுக்குள் ‘டைம் டிராவல்’ செய்து அழைத்துச் செல்லும் என்றார்.மாணவர் அரசியல், தியாகம், கருத்து சுதந்திரம் போன்ற விஷயங்களை நேர்மறை மற்றும் மரியாதையுடன் பதிவு செய்துள்ளோம் என்றும்,
இயக்குநர் சுதா கொங்கராவிடம் இருந்து உழைப்பு, அர்ப்பணிப்பு என்பவற்றை நேரடியாகக் கற்றுக்கொண்டதாகவும் பகிர்ந்தார்.
ரவி மோகன் குறித்து பேசும்போது,
“இந்த படத்தில் அவர் ஒரு மிகப் பவர்ஃபுல் வில்லன். திரையில் அவருடன் நடித்த ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் ஒரு அனுபவம்” என்று குறிப்பிட்டார்.மேலும்,
“இந்த பொங்கல் – அண்ணன் தம்பி பொங்கல்” என்று கூறி,
ஜனவரி 9 & 10 ஆகிய இரு நாட்களும் சினிமா கொண்டாட்டமாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்ற அழைப்பையும் விடுத்தார்.
“சுதாவை பார்த்து பயப்படாத ஆர்ட்டிஸ்ட் கிடையாது” – மணிரத்னம்
இயக்குநர் மணிரத்னம்,
சுதா கொங்கரா தனது உதவி இயக்குநர் காலத்திலிருந்தே எவ்வளவு கட்டுப்பாடு, துல்லியம், கலை மீது அக்கறை கொண்டவர் என்பதை நினைவுகூர்ந்தார்.
“சிவகார்த்திகேயன் ஸ்கிரிப்ட் தேர்வில் மிக தெளிவாக இருக்கிறார்”
என்று பாராட்டிய மணிரத்னத்தின் வாழ்த்து, விழாவில் தனித்த கவனத்தை பெற்றது.

இசையமைப்பாளர் ஜி.வி.பிரகாஷ்,
தனது 100வது படத்தை இயக்கிய சுதா கொங்கராவுக்கே அர்ப்பணிப்பாக செய்ததாகக் கூறினார்.
“இந்த படத்தில் ஒரு முக்கிய விஷயத்தை ரகசியமாக பாதுகாத்து வருகிறோம்”
என்று சொல்லி, எதிர்பார்ப்பை அதிகரித்தார்.

“இந்த படத்தை பார்த்து நீங்கள் பேச வேண்டும்.நீங்கள் பேசுவது தான் என் பேச்சு”
என்று கூறிய சுதா கொங்கரா,
இந்த பொங்கலுக்கு வெளியாகும் இரு படங்களும் ஹிட் ஆக வேண்டும் என்ற விருப்பத்தையும் தெரிவித்தார்.

ரவி மோகன் தனது உரையில்,
பராசக்தி ஒரு சுயமரியாதை பேசும் படம் என்றும்,
வில்லன் கதாபாத்திரம் ஏற்றதில் ஒரு துளி கூட வருத்தம் இல்லை என்றும் கூறினார்.

“Parasakthi” – When the Name Itself Becomes a Statement | Grand Audio Launch Event
The audio launch of “Parasakthi”, a film that rekindles a powerful socio-political and cultural discourse in Tamil cinema, turned into a landmark event that captured attention far beyond Chennai.
Produced by Aakash Baskaran under Dawn Pictures,
directed by Sudha Kongara,
and starring Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa Murali, and Sreeleela,
Parasakthi is set against the historical backdrop of the 1960s, exploring themes of Tamil identity, self-respect, and student politics.
The film is slated for a worldwide Pongal release on January 10, 2026, and will be released by Red Giant Movies, presented by Inban Udhayanidhi.
A Grand Audio Launch Amidst Thousands of Fans
The audio launch was held at Sai Ram College, Tambaram, Chennai, in the presence of the film’s cast and crew, with thousands of fans creating an electrifying atmosphere. The speeches delivered on stage further heightened expectations for the film.
“The Name Parasakthi Itself Is Powerful” – Sivakarthikeyan
Actor Sivakarthikeyan stated that the very name Parasakthi carries immense strength, and the film lives up to that power.
He described the movie as a time-travel experience into the 1960s, emphasizing how the film strongly portrays the power and influence of students during that era. Addressing the ongoing discussions around the film’s content, he clarified that the sacrifices of many individuals have been portrayed with respect and a positive perspective.
Recalling his first interaction with director Sudha Kongara, Sivakarthikeyan shared an anecdote about being surprised by a single powerful line from the story. After reading the script—written in English—he was completely convinced.
He humorously spoke about Sudha Kongara’s strict reputation and how she initially explained scenes in English, which he struggled to follow. Once he expressed his difficulty, she immediately switched to Tamil, a gesture he deeply appreciated. He credited her for teaching him the value of hard work and total commitment.
Speaking about Ravi Mohan, he said watching him reminded him of his college days, especially recalling M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi. He revealed that Ravi Mohan plays an extremely powerful antagonist in Parasakthi and that acting alongside him was a memorable experience.
Sivakarthikeyan also urged audiences to celebrate “Jananayagan” on January 9, marking the final film of a veteran who has entertained audiences for 33 years, and to celebrate Parasakthi the following day.
“For me, this Pongal is an ‘elder brother–younger brother Pongal’,” he concluded.
“No Artist Ever Escaped Sudha’s Eye” – Mani Ratnam
Legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam recalled working with Sudha Kongara during Aayutha Ezhuthu and Yuva, where she served as a continuity supervisor.
He humorously remarked that no artist could escape her attention, as she meticulously ensured continuity even after shooting hours. He praised Sivakarthikeyan’s script choices and wished the team great success, prompting Sivakarthikeyan to stand up and thank him respectfully.
“I Was Waiting for a Role Like This” – Sreeleela
Actress Sreeleela said she had been waiting for a character like the one she plays in Parasakthi. She described Sudha Kongara as a strong director who treated her like a mother on set.
She praised Ravi Mohan for being extremely warm both on and off screen and described working with Sivakarthikeyan as a pleasant experience. She expressed her desire to continue working in Tamil cinema andrequested audiences to support the film.
“My National Award Belongs to Sudha” – G. V. Prakash Kumar
Composer G. V. Prakash Kumar thanked everyone who supported his journey, especially director Vasanthabalan for his debut and Sudha Kongara for his 100th film.
He revealed that Parasakthi was made as a token of gratitude to Sudha Kongara, who played a pivotal role in winning his first National Award (Soorarai Pottru). He hinted that the film hides an important surprise, carefully protected.
He also reflected on missing National Awards for films like Veyil, Aayirathil Oruvan, and Asuran, finally achieving the honour through Sudha’s film, calling it a matter of pride to receive it through a “sister.”
“Let the Audience Speak for Parasakthi” – Sudha Kongara
Director Sudha Kongara quoted her mentor Mani Ratnam:
“When someone says something cannot be done, that is when you must do it.”
She said Parasakthi was born out of that very belief. Thanking everyone who stood by her—whom she called the real Parasakthis—she stated she did not wish to speak further about the film.
“You must speak after watching it.
Your words should become my voice.”
She also expressed hope that both films releasing this Pongal succeed, emphasizing that cinema survives because of its audiences.
“A Truly Transformative Experience” – Atharvaa
Actor Atharvaa described Parasakthi as a deeply enriching experience. He spoke about the detailed production design, humorously mentioning how he once considered stealing a lamp from the set but returned it fearing he’d be labeled a thief.
He praised G. V. Prakash’s music and credited Ravi Mohan for teaching him to maintain positivity on set. He expressed admiration for Sivakarthikeyan’s growth and promised to be among the first to applaud every milestone in his career.
Atharvaa concluded by stating that Parasakthi would be remembered as a cult film in Sudha Kongara’s career.
“A Film That Protects Self-Respect” – Ravi Mohan
Ravi Mohan admitted that speaking at an audio launch as an actor rather than a hero felt unusual, but doing so for a Sivakarthikeyan film felt natural.
He expressed strong confidence that Parasakthi would be one of the finest films of the year and praised Sivakarthikeyan’s journey from humble beginnings to stardom.
Sharing a powerful personal note, Ravi Mohan said:
“It is said that women feel safe where good men are present.
For the first time, I felt safe where a woman—Sudha Kongara—was present.”
He praised producer Aakash Baskaran’s courage in standing firm despite challenges and described Parasakthi not as a dangerous fire, but as a sacred lamp lit before God.
Explaining why he chose to play the antagonist, he said there were only two reasons: Sudha’s story and Sudha herself.
He concluded with a strong message on self-respect, urging everyone never to lose it, stating that it is the foundation of living as a good human being.
