MUMBAI, India—21 March, 2023—Prime Video, India’s most loved entertainment destination, today announced the eagerly awaited global streaming premiere of Yash Raj Films’s high octane action spectacle Pathaan. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, the film has broken records at the box office to become the all-time highest grossing Hindi film in the history of cinema. Pathaan, which is a part of Aditya Chopra’s fabled YRF Spy Universe, boasts a star-studded cast, including Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, and Ashutosh Rana. Directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan is produced by Aditya Chopra under his banner Yash Raj Films – the country’s biggest studio. Prime members in India and more than 240 countries and territories can stream an extended version of Pathaan featuring two never-before-seen scenes in Hindi, along with Tamil and Telugu dubs, starting March 22.
Pathaan chronicles the story of an Indian spy, as he takes on the leader of a group of mercenaries who have nefarious plans to target his homeland. Promising power-packed performances, action sequences, scenic locations, celebratory music, jaw-dropping cameos, and several Easter eggs, the film is a complete entertainer and an absolute heart-winner.
