“நம்பிக்கை, மனிதநேயம் மற்றும் சமூகத் தாக்கத்தின் 15 ஆண்டுகள்” என்ற தலைப்பிலான இந்த நூலை விஜிபி குழுமத்தின் தலைவர் டாக்டர் வி.ஜி. சந்தோசம் வெளியிட்டார். அதன் முதல் பிரதிகளை வேலம்மாள் கல்விக் குழுமத்தின் தாளாளர் எம்.வி.எம். வேல்மோகன் மற்றும் தமிழ்நாடு மாநில திட்டக்குழுவின் சுதா ராமன், இ.வ.ப. ஆகியோர் பெற்றுக்கொண்டனர்.

Chennai: Rain Drops, a social organisation committed to humanitarian service and social change, has completed 15 years of impactful work. The organisation celebrated its 15th anniversary under the theme “15 Years of Hope, Humanity and Social Impact”, marking not just a milestone in its journey but also the beginning of a new chapter in its commitment to society.

The anniversary celebration brought together prominent personalities, supporters, donors, volunteers, beneficiaries and well-wishers who have been closely associated with Rain Drops and its initiatives over the years.

A Special Book Documenting 15 Years of Change

One of the key highlights of the celebration was the launch of a special book titled “15 Years of Hope, Humanity and Social Impact.” The book documents Rain Drops’ 15-year journey, its major social welfare initiatives, achievements and the inspiring life stories of people whose lives have been positively impacted by the organisation.

The book was launched by Dr. V.G. Santhosam, Chairman of VGP Group. The first copies were received by M.V.M. Velmohan, Correspondent of Velammal Educational Group, and Sudha Raman, I.A.S., of the Tamil Nadu State Planning Commission.

Eminent Personalities Attend the Celebration

‘Rain Drops Anbagam’ – A Free Home for Senior Citizens

As part of its next phase of humanitarian initiatives, Rain Drops announced the launch of “Rain Drops Anbagam,” a free residential home for senior citizens in Chennai.

The initiative aims to provide a safe, dignified and caring environment for elderly people who are unsupported, neglected, living alone or in need of care and companionship.

Rain Drops Anbagam is envisioned as more than just a shelter. It is planned as a holistic support space offering nutritious food, medical assistance, personal care, emotional companionship, recreational activities and opportunities for social interaction.

The core vision behind the initiative is to ensure that senior citizens do not have to experience their later years in loneliness or without support, but instead have a space where they can live with love, dignity, security and a sense of belonging.

After 15 years of building hope and creating positive change across different sections of society, Rain Drops is now taking its humanitarian mission into a new phase with the launch of this meaningful initiative for senior citizens.
