‘சிக்மா’ மூலம் தமிழ் சினிமாவில் புதிய தொடக்கம் கிடைத்துள்ளது: ஷிவ் பண்டிட்
சென்னை: ‘லீலை’ திரைப்படத்தின் மூலம் தமிழ் ரசிகர்களிடம் அறிமுகமான நடிகர் ஷிவ் பண்டிட், தற்போது ஜேசன் சஞ்சய் இயக்கத்தில் வெளியாகியுள்ள ‘சிக்மா’ திரைப்படத்தில் வித்தியாசமான கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடித்துள்ளார். லைகா புரொடக்ஷன்ஸ் தயாரித்துள்ள இப்படத்தில், வின்சென்ட் என்ற கிரே ஷேட் கொண்ட கதாபாத்திரத்தில் அவர் நடித்துள்ளார்.
விஷ்ணுவர்தன் இயக்கிய ‘நேசிப்பாயா’ திரைப்படத்தின் மூலம் தமிழ் சினிமாவில் மீண்டும் களமிறங்கிய ஷிவ் பண்டிட், ‘சிக்மா’ படத்தின் வாயிலாக தனது பயணத்தைத் தொடர்ந்து வருகிறார்.
தனது திரையுலகப் பயணம் குறித்து ஷிவ் பண்டிட் கூறியதாவது:
“கிட்டத்தட்ட 20 ஆண்டுகளாக நடித்து வருகிறேன். 2002-ம் ஆண்டு முதன்முதலாக கேமரா முன்பு நின்றேன். என்றாலும், நடிப்பு மீதான ஆர்வம் எனக்கு ஒன்பது வயதிலேயே தொடங்கிவிட்டது. நாடகங்கள், நடிப்புப் பயிற்சிப் பட்டறைகள் மற்றும் மேடை நிகழ்ச்சிகள் மூலம் நடிப்பைக் கற்றுக்கொண்டேன்.
அதன்பிறகு மூன்று ஆண்டுகள் வானொலி தொகுப்பாளராக பணியாற்றினேன். அந்த அனுபவம் குரல் ஏற்ற இறக்கம் மற்றும் தகவல் தொடர்பு குறித்து எனக்கு நிறைய கற்றுக்கொடுத்தது. நான் ஒருபோதும் மெயின்ஸ்ட்ரீம் நடிகராக வருவேன் என்று நினைத்ததில்லை. ஆனால் பிஜாய் நம்பியார் இயக்கத்தில், அனுராக் காஷ்யப் தயாரித்த ‘ஷைத்தான்’ திரைப்படத்தின் மூலம் திரையுலகில் அறிமுகமானேன். அந்தப் படத்திற்காக ஃபிலிம்ஃபேர் சிறந்த அறிமுக நடிகருக்கான விருதுக்கும் பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்டேன்.
அதன்பிறகு பல திரைப்படங்களிலும் விளம்பரப் படங்களிலும் நடித்துள்ளேன். ‘லீலை’ திரைப்படம்தான் எனது முதல் தமிழ் படம். அந்தப் படத்திற்கு பெரிய அளவில் திரையரங்க வெளியீடு கிடைக்கவில்லை என்றாலும், அதன் மூலம் எனக்கென ஒரு ரசிகர் வட்டம் உருவானது. பல ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகும் ரசிகர்கள் அந்தப் படத்தின் பாடல்கள் மற்றும் பின்னணி இசையைப் பாராட்டி வருகின்றனர். இன்றும் ‘லீலை’ படத்துக்கு தனி ரசிகர் கூட்டம் இருப்பது மகிழ்ச்சி அளிக்கிறது. எனவே, தமிழ் சினிமாவில் மீண்டும் நடிப்பது உற்சாகமாக இருக்கிறது” என்றார்.
‘சிக்மா’ படத்தில் நடித்த அனுபவம் குறித்து அவர் கூறும்போது:
“சமூக வலைதளங்களில் ‘லீலை’ உள்ளிட்ட நான் நடித்த படங்கள் தொடர்பாக உருவாகியிருந்த கவனத்தை ஜேசன் சஞ்சய் கவனித்துள்ளார். அதன் அடிப்படையில், ‘சிக்மா’ படத்தில் என்னை நடிக்க வைத்தால் சுவாரஸ்யமாக இருக்கும் என்று அவர் நினைத்துள்ளார். அப்படித்தான் வின்சென்ட் கதாபாத்திரம் என்னிடம் வந்தது.
வின்சென்ட் ஒரு சூதாட்ட கிளப்பை நடத்தி வருபவர். தனது நண்பர் எழில் மூலமாக சில சட்டவிரோத நடவடிக்கைகளிலும் அவர் ஈடுபடுகிறார். கிரே ஷேட் கொண்ட இந்தக் கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடிப்பது எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்திருந்தது.
‘சிக்மா’ ஒரு ஆக்ஷன், அட்வென்ச்சர் மற்றும் ஹெய்ஸ்ட் அம்சங்கள் கொண்ட திரைப்படம். இதில் நடித்ததில் மகிழ்ச்சி. ஜேசன் சஞ்சய் இந்தப் படத்திற்காக அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் கடுமையாக உழைத்துள்ளார். அவர் சிறந்த இயக்குநர் மட்டுமல்ல, சிறந்த மனிதரும் கூட. தற்போது அவர் எனது குடும்பத்தில் ஒருவரைப் போல ஆகிவிட்டார்.
வின்சென்ட் கதாபாத்திரத்தில் என்னை நம்பி நடிக்க வைத்ததற்காக ஜேசனுக்கு நன்றி. சந்தீப் கிஷன் மற்றும் ஒட்டுமொத்த படக்குழுவினருடனும் பணியாற்றியது சிறந்த அனுபவமாக இருந்தது” என்றார்.
ஜேசன் சஞ்சய் இயக்கத்தில் உருவாகியுள்ள ‘சிக்மா’ திரைப்படத்தில் சந்தீப் கிஷன், ஃபரியா அப்துல்லா, ராஜு சுந்தரம், சம்பத் ராஜ், ஷிவ் பண்டிட், அன்பு தாசன், யோக் ஜேபி, மகாலட்சுமி, ஷீலா ராஜ்குமார், கமலேஷ், கிரண் கொண்டா உள்ளிட்டோர் நடித்துள்ளனர்.
தமன் எஸ் இசையமைத்துள்ள இப்படத்திற்கு கிருஷ்ணன் வசந்த் ஒளிப்பதிவு செய்துள்ளார். பிரவீன் கே.எல் படத்தொகுப்பு பணிகளை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளார். சஞ்சீவ் கிரியேட்டிவ் தயாரிப்பாளராக பணியாற்றியுள்ளார். லைகா புரொடக்ஷன்ஸ் சார்பில் சுபாஸ்கரன் இப்படத்தை தயாரித்துள்ளார்.
‘Sigma’ Has Given Me a Fresh Start in Tamil Cinema: Shiv Panditt
Actor Shiv Panditt, who won the hearts of Tamil audiences with his charming screen presence and performance in Leelai, is back in Tamil cinema with a completely different role in Sigma. Directed by Jason Sanjay and produced by Lyca Productions, the action-adventure heist thriller features Shiv as Vincent, a character with grey shades.
Following his return to Tamil cinema with Vishnuvardhan’s Nesippaya, Shiv Panditt says Sigma has given him an exciting new beginning in the Tamil film industry.
Speaking about his journey in acting, Shiv said, “I have been acting for nearly 20 years. I first faced the camera in 2002, but my journey with acting actually began when I was nine. I learned acting through theatre, acting workshops and stage performances.
“After that, I worked as a radio jockey for three years. That experience taught me a lot about voice modulation and communication. I never thought I would become a mainstream actor. However, I made my acting debut with Shaitaan, directed by Bejoy Nambiar and produced by Anurag Kashyap. I was also nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for the film.
“Since then, I have acted in several films and advertisements. Leelai was my first Tamil film. Although the film did not get a major theatrical release at the time, it helped me build a dedicated fan base in Tamil Nadu. Even years later, audiences continue to appreciate the songs and background score of the film. Leelai still has its own loyal following, so it is exciting for me to return to Tamil cinema.”
Talking about his role in Sigma, Shiv said, “Jason Sanjay had noticed the attention I had been receiving on social media, particularly in connection with Leelai and some of my other films. He felt it would be interesting to cast me in Sigma. That is how the character of Vincent came to me.
“Vincent runs a gambling club and gets involved in certain illegal activities through his friend Ezhil. I really enjoyed playing this interesting character. Sigma is an action-adventure heist thriller, and I am proud to be a part of it.
“Jason has put in a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication into this film. He is not only a wonderful director but also a fantastic human being. Jason has now become like a member of my family. I am very happy that he trusted me with the role of Vincent.
“Working with Sundeep Kishan and the entire team was also a wonderful experience.”
Sigma, which released worldwide on October 2, features Sundeep Kishan, Faria Abdullah, Raju Sundaram, Sampath Raj, Shiv Panditt, Anbu Thasan, Yogi Babu, Mahalakshmi, Sheela Rajkumar, Kamalesh and Kiran Konda among others.
Directed by Jason Sanjay, the film has music by Thaman S, cinematography by Krishna Vasanth and editing by Praveen K.L. Sanjeev serves as the creative producer. The film is produced by Subaskaran under the Lyca Productions banner.
