தமிழ் மற்றும் மலையாளத் திரையுலகில் இதுவரை 18 திரைப்படங்களைத் தயாரித்துள்ள ஸ்டோன் பெஞ்ச் ஸ்டுடியோ நிறுவனத்தின் தயாரிப்பாளர் கார்த்திகேயன் சந்தானம், தற்போது தெலுங்குத் திரையுலகிலும் தனது தயாரிப்புப் பணிகளை விரிவுபடுத்துகிறார். இதற்காக நான்கு திரைப்படங்களைத் தயாரிக்கத் திட்டமிட்டுள்ள அவர், அந்த வரிசையில் முதல் படமாக ‘ஹைட் & சில்க்’ திரைப்படத்தை உருவாக்குகிறார்.
இந்தப் புதிய முயற்சியில் கார்த்திகேயன் சந்தானத்துடன் மிஸ்ரிலால் பிக்சர்ஸ் நிறுவனத்தின் வர்திகா ஜெயின் இணைந்துள்ளார். தமிழ் மற்றும் தெலுங்கு ஆகிய இரு மொழிகளிலும் இப்படம் வெளியாகவுள்ளது.

‘மண்டாடி’ படத்தைத் தொடர்ந்து சுஹாஸ் கதாநாயகனாக நடிக்கும் இப்படத்தில், ‘லப்பர் பந்து’, ‘DC’ ஆகிய படங்களில் நடித்த சஞ்சனா முக்கியக் கதாபாத்திரத்தில் இடம்பெறுகிறார். மூத்த நடிகர் தனிகெல்லா பரணி, நந்து, கருணாகரன் உள்ளிட்டோரும் படத்தின் நட்சத்திரப் பட்டியலில் இணைந்துள்ளனர்.

Stone Bench Studio and Misrilall Pictures join hands for a bilingual film that explores the intriguing connection between a silk saree and the woman destined to wear it.
What if a silk saree is more than just a piece of clothing woven from threads? What if it has a story of its own and is destined to find the woman who will wear it? Exploring this intriguing thought is Hide & Silk, the upcoming film starring Suhas in the lead role. The film’s title glimpse has been unveiled, offering a peek into its distinctive world and setting the stage for an unconventional narrative.
Produced jointly by Stone Bench Studio and Misrilall Pictures, the film’s title glimpse was unveiled by actor Varun Tej for Telugu audiences and actor Soori for Tamil audiences. Moving away from conventional introductions, the promo presents a fascinating intersection between the world of a silk weaver and the life of a modern woman.
The weaver’s narration revolves around the poetic idea that every silk saree has a woman destined to wear it, and that its true beauty extends beyond the intricate process of weaving. Even as the weaver brings the saree to life, the fabric appears to choose the woman it belongs to. This intriguing concept lends a distinctive meaning to the film’s title while raising questions about how the lives of two individuals from contrasting worlds come together.
Stone Bench Studio expands into Telugu cinema
Karthikeyan Santhanam of Stone Bench Studio has produced 18 films across the Tamil and Malayalam industries. Now expanding his production ventures into Telugu cinema, he plans to produce four films, with Hide & Silk marking the first project in this new lineup.
For this venture, Stone Bench Studio has joined hands with Vartika Jain of Misrilall Pictures. The film is set to release in both Tamil and Telugu, marking a new chapter in the production house’s journey across languages.
Suhas leads an interesting ensemble cast
Following Mandaadi, Suhas takes on the lead role in Hide & Silk. The film also features Sanjana, known for her performances in Lubber Pandhu and DC, alongside veteran actor Tanikella Bharani. Nandu and Karunakaran are also part of the cast in important roles.
Written and directed by Rajendra Bala, a former associate of acclaimed filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj, Hide & Silk marks his directorial debut. With an unconventional premise and a narrative that brings together contrasting worlds, the film introduces a fresh directorial voice.
An accomplished technical team comes on board
The film brings together an experienced technical crew. Karthik Palani handles the cinematography, while Shafique Mohamed Ali is in charge of editing. Amrit Ramnath, who drew attention for his work in 3 BHK, composes the music.
Suresh Selvarajan, known for his work on films including Animal and Petta, serves as the production designer. Jashuva choreographs the action sequences, while Praveen Raja takes care of costume design. Sherif serves as the choreographer, with Mohan Rajan contributing the lyrics.
Suren G and Alagiya Koothan handle sound design, while Suren G is also responsible for sound mixing. Amol Bodake serves as the art director.
With its evocative premise, an intriguing cast and a distinctive visual world, Hide & Silk has generated curiosity through its newly released title glimpse. Produced by Karthikeyan Santhanam and Vartika Jain, the film is gearing up for release in Tamil and Telugu. The release date and further details are expected to be announced in the coming days.
