About Brave Together:

Brave Talk is part of Brave Together, Maybelline New York’s global mental health initiative to break the stigma around anxiety and depression. With a $10M commitment over five years to support mental health non-profits, the initiative provides resources, expert tools. The Brave Talk training program, developed under this initiative, equips young people with the skills to engage empathetically in mental health conversations with peers—offering tools to navigate difficult discussions and be better friends to those struggling.

Speaking about the inspiration and intention behind the series, host Nikhil Taneja shared his personal connection to Brave Talk and the impact he hopes it will have on young audiences:, “ _‘Brave Talk with Nikhil and Friends’ is really close to my heart because it’s the show I wish existed when I was in college. We wanted to create a series that feels like a safe, joyful space for young people to have real conversations about mental health. It’s been incredibly special to sit down with friends like Vir, Apoorva, Dolly, Raghav, and Trinetra at college campuses across Mumbai and Delhi, and share stories of growth, resilience, and vulnerability. We hope that every student who watches feels a little less alone, a little more understood, and a lot more seen. I’m so grateful to Maybelline for partnering with us to bring these important conversations to life.”_

Commenting on the partnership and Maybelline New York’s continued commitment to mental health advocacy, Jessica Rode, General Manager – India, Maybelline New York, emphasized the brand’s vision behind supporting Brave Talk: _“Maybelline New York believes that mental health is as important as physical health. We understand that awareness is only the first step, and real change requires action. Through our Brave Together initiative, we’re not just talking about mental health; we’re providing tangible support, especially for those going through their own mental health journeys. Our partnership with Yuvaa and inspiring conversations with these faces of the youth are amplifying very crucial messages. We want every person to know they’re not alone and to feel empowered to bravely take on the world, knowing there are resources available to help them thrive. We at Maybelline New York are committed to breaking down stigma and making mental wellness support accessible to all.”_
