மெகா பவர் ஸ்டார் Ram Charan நடிப்பில், இயக்குநர் Buchi Babu Sana இயக்கத்தில் உருவாகி வரும் “பெத்தி” திரைப்படம் குறித்து வெளியாகியுள்ள புதிய தகவல்கள் ரசிகர்களிடையே மிகப்பெரிய எதிர்பார்ப்பை உருவாக்கியுள்ளன. கிராமத்து உணர்வுகளையும், ஆழமான மனித உணர்ச்சிகளையும் மையமாகக் கொண்டு உருவாகும் இந்த திரைப்படம், வெறும் கமர்ஷியல் படமாக இல்லாமல், மனதை உலுக்கும் அனுபவமாக இருக்கும் என படக்குழு நம்பிக்கை தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
இந்தப் படத்தின் தயாரிப்பு வடிவமைப்பாளரான Avinash Kolla சமீபத்தில் பகிர்ந்த தகவல்கள் தற்போது சினிமா ரசிகர்களிடையே பெரும் பேசுபொருளாக மாறியுள்ளது. “பத்து வருட சினிமா வாழ்க்கையில் இதுபோல ஒரு கதையை நான் கேட்டதே இல்லை. கதை கேட்ட பிறகு சில நிமிடங்கள் என்னால் பேசவே முடியவில்லை. அந்த அளவுக்கு ‘பெத்தி’ என்னை உள்ளுக்குள் தாக்கியது,” என்று அவர் உணர்ச்சியுடன் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
செட் அல்ல… நேரில் வாழும் 70கள்!
1970–80களின் விஜயநகரம் பகுதியை அப்படியே திரையில் உயிர்ப்பிக்க வேண்டும் என்பதே படக்குழுவின் முதன்மை நோக்கமாக இருந்ததாம். அதற்காக ஒரு வருடத்திற்கும் மேலாக முன் தயாரிப்பு பணிகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளன. ஒவ்வொரு செட்டிற்கும் முதலில் சிறிய மாதிரிகள் உருவாக்கப்பட்டு, பின்னர் அவை பிரம்மாண்ட வடிவில் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ளன.
மொத்தமாக 24 பெரிய செட்கள் புதிதாக அமைக்கப்பட்டதுடன், மேலும் 60க்கும் அதிகமான சிறப்பு அமைப்புகளும் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. தெருக்கள், கடிகார கோபுரம், பழமையான வீதிகள், சர்க்கரை ஆலை, ரயில் அமைப்பு, மலையடிவார நகரம் என அனைத்தும் நிஜ இடங்களைப் போலவே வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக அவினாஷ் கூறியுள்ளார்.
“பார்வையாளர்கள் இது ஒரு செட் என்று நினைக்கக் கூடாது என்பதற்காகவே ஒவ்வொரு விஷயத்திலும் இயல்பை முன்னிலைப்படுத்தினோம்,” என அவர் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
மல்யுத்த அரங்கம் முதல் கிரிக்கெட் மைதானம் வரை… புதிய அனுபவம்
படத்தில் இடம்பெறும் மல்யுத்த காட்சிகளுக்காக இதுவரை இந்திய சினிமாவில் அதிகம் காணப்படாத வகையில் ஒரு பிரம்மாண்ட தரைக்கடிக் கட்டமைப்பு உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாம். அந்த அரங்கில் ராம்சரண் கம்பீரமாக தோன்றும் காட்சிகள் படமாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக கூறப்படுகிறது.
அதேபோல், கிரிக்கெட் காட்சிகளும் கிராமத்து வாழ்க்கையின் இயல்பை பிரதிபலிக்கும் வகையில் வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. “இது ‘லகான்’ மாதிரி இல்லை. நம்ம ஊர்ல வயல்வெளி மேடுகளில் அமர்ந்து கிரிக்கெட் பார்ப்பதுபோல ஒரு உணர்வு வரும்,” என அவினாஷ் சிரித்தபடி கூறியுள்ளார்.
ராம்சரணின் அர்ப்பணிப்பு – படக்குழுவையே ஆச்சரியப்பட வைத்த தருணம்
படப்பிடிப்பின் போது ஆக்ஷன் காட்சியில் காயமடைந்த பின்னரும், கால்ஷீட் பாதிக்கக் கூடாது என்பதற்காக உடனடியாக மீண்டும் படப்பிடிப்பில் கலந்து கொண்ட ராம்சரணின் அர்ப்பணிப்பு படக்குழுவினரை வியக்க வைத்ததாம்.
மேலும், தானாக உருவாக்கப்பட்ட ஒவ்வொரு செட்டையும் ராம்சரண் தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் பாராட்டியதாகவும், குறிப்பாக மல்யுத்த அரங்கம், ரயில் அமைப்பு மற்றும் பாடல் செட்கள் அவருக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்ததாகவும் அவினாஷ் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
“ரங்கஸ்தலத்தை விட அதிகம் பேசப்படும் நடிப்பு!”
ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் R. Rathnavelu உடன் ஏற்பட்ட ஒத்துழைப்பும் படத்தின் காட்சியமைப்பை அடுத்த கட்டத்திற்கு கொண்டு சென்றதாக அவினாஷ் கூறியுள்ளார். “கலை இயக்குநரும் ஒளிப்பதிவாளரும் ஒரே அலைவரிசையில் இருந்தால் மட்டுமே படம் முழுமை பெறும். ‘பெத்தி’யில் அது நடந்தது,” என்றார்.
இப்படம் குறித்து இயக்குநர் Sukumar கூட சமீபத்தில், “ராம்சரணின் இந்த நடிப்பு ‘ரங்கஸ்தலம்’ படத்தை விட அதிகமாக பேசப்படும்,” என கூறியிருப்பது ரசிகர்களின் எதிர்பார்ப்பை மேலும் உயர்த்தியுள்ளது.
இறுதியாக அவினாஷ் கூறிய ஒரு வரி தற்போது ரசிகர்களை மிகவும் கவர்ந்துள்ளது:
“பெத்தி ஒரு சாதாரண படம் இல்லை. திரையரங்கில் இருந்து வெளியே வரும் போது கண்டிப்பாக கண்களில் கண்ணீர் இருக்கும். அந்த அளவுக்கு இந்த கதாபாத்திரத்தின் வாழ்க்கை மனசை தொடும்.”

Mega Power Star ’s upcoming film Peddi, directed by , has already created massive buzz among audiences, and the latest revelations from the film’s team have taken expectations to the next level. Rooted in rural emotions and intense human drama, the film is said to be far more than a commercial entertainer — it promises to be an emotionally overwhelming cinematic experience.
Production Designer recently shared several fascinating details about the film, which have now become a major talking point among cinema lovers.
“In my ten-year career, I have never heard a story like this. After listening to the narration, I couldn’t even speak for a few minutes. That’s how deeply Peddi affected me,” Avinash revealed emotionally.
Not Sets… But a Living, Breathing 1970s World!
One of the biggest challenges for the team was recreating the atmosphere of Vizianagaram from the 1970s and 80s with complete authenticity. To achieve that, the makers reportedly spent over a year in pre-production.
Every set was first designed as a miniature model before being constructed on a massive scale. In total, 24 huge sets were built from scratch, along with more than 60 additional setups.
From old streets and clock towers to sugar factories, railway structures, and an entire hill-town environment, every location was designed to look absolutely real.
“The audience should never feel they are watching a set. That realism was our biggest priority,” Avinash explained.
From Wrestling Arenas to Rustic Cricket Grounds – A Completely New Experience
For the wrestling portions in the film, the team created a gigantic underground arena unlike anything seen before in Indian cinema. Some of the most powerful sequences featuring Ram Charan were reportedly shot there.
The cricket episodes, meanwhile, have been designed to reflect the raw and organic feel of rural life.
“This isn’t like Lagaan. It will feel like watching a village cricket match while sitting on the mud ridges beside farmlands,” Avinash said with a smile.
Ram Charan’s Dedication Left the Team Amazed
Avinash also praised Ram Charan’s commitment during the shoot. Even after suffering an injury during an action sequence, the actor reportedly returned to the sets immediately to avoid disrupting the schedules of other artists.
He further revealed that Ram Charan personally appreciated every set built for the film, especially the wrestling arena, railway setup, and the grand song sets.
“A Performance Bigger Than Rangasthalam”
Avinash also highlighted the incredible sync he shared with cinematographer while designing the visual world of Peddi.
“A film becomes visually complete only when the cinematographer and art director think alike. That magic happened in Peddi,” he said.
Adding to the excitement, acclaimed filmmaker recently stated that Ram Charan’s performance in Peddi would be discussed even more than his iconic role in Rangasthalam.
Avinash concluded with a statement that has now emotionally resonated with fans everywhere:
“Peddi is not an ordinary film. When audiences walk out of the theatre, there will definitely be tears in their eyes. That’s how deeply this journey will touch their hearts.”
