சூப்பர் நேச்சுரல் கிரைம் திரில்லர் கதைகளுக்கு தமிழ் சினிமாவில் தனி வரவேற்பு இருக்கும் நிலையில், அந்த வரிசையில் வித்தியாசமான முயற்சியாக உருவாகி வரும் படம் ‘மண்டவெட்டி’. இந்தப் படத்தில் நடிகை கோமலி பிரசாத் இதுவரை நடித்ததிலேயே மிகவும் சவாலான மற்றும் உணர்ச்சி மிகுந்த கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடித்திருப்பதாக படக்குழு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

டஸ்கர்ஸ் டென் பிக்சர்ஸ் நிறுவனம் தயாரிக்கும் இந்தப் படத்தை சரண்ராஜ் செந்தில்குமார் எழுதி, இயக்கி, தயாரித்துள்ளார். மர்மம், நாட்டுப்புற நம்பிக்கைகள், மனித மனத்தின் இருண்ட பக்கங்கள் ஆகியவற்றை இணைக்கும் இந்தக் கதையில், ஒரு பெண் எதிர்கொள்ளும் மன உளைச்சல்களும் அதற்குள் மறைந்திருக்கும் அமானுஷ்ய சக்திகளும் முக்கிய அம்சமாக அமைந்துள்ளன.

இப்படம் குறித்து இயக்குநர் சரண்ராஜ் செந்தில்குமார் கூறுகையில், “இந்தக் கதையின் மையத்தில் இருக்கும் பெண் கதாபாத்திரம் மிகவும் தீவிரமான உணர்வுகளை வெளிப்படுத்த வேண்டிய ஒன்று. அந்தக் கதாபாத்திரத்தில் கோமலி பிரசாத் முழுமையாக தன்னை ஒப்படைத்து நடித்திருக்கிறார். சில காட்சிகளில் உடல் ரீதியாகவும், மன ரீதியாகவும் கடினமான சூழல்கள் இருந்தாலும், எந்த தயக்கமும் இல்லாமல் அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் நடித்தார்,” என்றார்.

“Komalee Prasad Reveals a Powerful New Side in Supernatural Crime Thriller ‘Mandavetti’!”

Supernatural crime thrillers have always held a special place in Tamil cinema, and Mandavetti is shaping up to be a distinctive addition to the genre. Actress Komalee Prasad is said to have taken on one of the most emotionally intense and physically demanding roles of her career in the film.

Produced under the banner of Duskers Ten Pictures, Mandavetti is written, directed, and produced by Saranraj Senthilkumar. Blending mystery, folklore, and deep human emotions, the film revolves around a woman battling emotional trauma while confronting mysterious supernatural forces.

Speaking about the project, director Saranraj Senthilkumar said, “The female lead in this story required someone who could portray intense emotions fearlessly and authentically. Komalee Prasad completely surrendered herself to the character. Despite emotionally draining and physically challenging sequences, she performed with extraordinary dedication.”

The story is centered around the mysterious local deity known as ‘Senji,’ taking audiences into a haunting yet emotionally engaging world. The makers believe the film will offer a gripping cinematic experience filled with suspense, folklore, and human emotions. The movie is currently in its final stages of production.
