Akhil Akkineni’s ‘Lenin’ Heads to OTT After Theatrical Success, Premieres on ZEE5
The rural action entertainer begins streaming on August 7 in Telugu, with a Tamil version also available
After making a strong impact at the box office, Akhil Akkineni-starrer Lenin is now set to make its digital debut. Directed by Murali Kishore Abburu, the film will begin streaming exclusively on ZEE5 from August 7 in Telugu, with the Tamil version also available for audiences.
Set against the rural backdrop of Andhra Pradesh, Lenin follows the journey of a fearless young man whose personal life gradually turns into a larger battle against injustice. What begins as an emotional love story expands into a conflict involving family relationships, power struggles and his determination to stand up for his people.
Blending action, romance, emotion and humour with the essential elements of a commercial entertainer, the film presents Akhil Akkineni in a powerful role that has been described as one of the most significant performances of his career.
Akhil shares the screen with Bhagyashri Borse, while veteran and popular actors including Sivaji, Sunil, Eeshwari Rao, Brahmaji, Getup Srinu, Ramki and Pramod Panju play important roles in the film.
The film has music by Thaman S, with cinematography handled by Leon Britto and editing by Naveen Nooli. Nagarjuna Akkineni and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi have produced the film under the banners of Annapurna Studios and Sithara Entertainments.
