அக்ஷய் குமாரின் அதிரவைக்கும் ‘ஹைவான்’ அவதாரம் – முழுக்க முழுக்க வில்லனாக களமிறங்கும் நடிகர்

பாலிவுட்டில் பல்வேறு கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்து ரசிகர்களை கவர்ந்துவரும் அக்ஷய் குமார், இந்த முறை முற்றிலும் புதிய பரிமாணத்தில் திரைக்கு வருகிறார். இயக்குநர் பிரியதர்ஷன் இயக்கத்தில் உருவாகியுள்ள ‘ஹைவான்’ திரைப்படத்தின் டீசர் வெளியாகியுள்ள நிலையில், அதில் அக்ஷய் குமாரின் தோற்றமும், நடிப்பும் ரசிகர்களின் கவனத்தை வெகுவாக ஈர்த்துள்ளது.

தனது கதாபாத்திரம் குறித்து அக்ஷய் குமார் பேசும்போது, “படத்தின் பெயரைப் போலவே நானும் ‘ஹைவான்’ கதாபாத்திரத்தில்தான் நடிக்கிறேன். இதில் எந்தவிதமான கிரே ஷேடும் கிடையாது. அவர் முழுக்க முழுக்க கெட்டவர். திரையில் ஒரு சைக்கோ கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடிக்க வேண்டும் என்பது எனது நீண்ட நாள் ஆசை. அந்த ஆசை இந்தப் படத்தின் மூலம் நிறைவேறியுள்ளது” என தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

கடந்த சில ஆண்டுகளில் நகைச்சுவை, திகில், ஆக்‌ஷன், டிராமா என பல்வேறு களங்களில் வித்தியாசமான கதாபாத்திரங்களைத் தேர்வு செய்து நடித்துவரும் அக்ஷய் குமார், இந்த முறை தன்னை ஒரு முழுமையான வில்லனாக மாற்றிக்கொண்டுள்ளார்.

“கடந்த நான்கு அல்லது ஐந்து படங்களில் வெவ்வேறு ஜானர்களில் நடிக்க முயற்சி செய்திருக்கிறேன். ஆனால் முழுக்க முழுக்க எதிர்மறையான கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடிப்பது இதுவே முதல் முறை. ஒரு நடிகராக தொடர்ந்து என்னை நானே சவால் செய்வது எனக்கு பிடிக்கும். அந்த வகையில் ‘ஹைவான்’ எனக்கு மிகப்பெரிய சவாலாக அமைந்துள்ளது” என்று அவர் கூறியுள்ளார்.

அக்ஷய் குமாரின் இந்த வித்தியாசமான தோற்றத்திற்கு பின்னால் இயக்குநர் பிரியதர்ஷனின் பார்வையும் முக்கிய பங்கு வகித்துள்ளது. ‘பூத் பங்களா’ படப்பிடிப்பின்போது பீனி அணிந்தபடி அக்ஷய் குமாரை பார்த்ததாகவும், அந்த தோற்றமே ‘ஹைவான்’ கதாபாத்திரத்திற்கான ஒரு புதிய எண்ணத்தை உருவாக்கியதாகவும் பிரியதர்ஷன் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

ஆனால், அக்ஷய் குமாரை இந்த எதிர்மறை கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடிக்க வைக்கலாம் என்ற எண்ணம் முதலில் அவருக்கே தோன்றவில்லை. கதையை கேட்ட அக்ஷய் குமாரே, “நான் இந்த கதாபாத்திரத்தை செய்யலாமா?” என்று கேட்டபோதுதான் பிரியதர்ஷன் ஆச்சரியமடைந்ததாக கூறியுள்ளார்.

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is all set to explore an entirely new side of his acting with director Priyadarshan’s highly anticipated psychological thriller Haiwaan. The teaser of the film has been released, offering a glimpse of Akshay in a never-before-seen and intimidating avatar.

Sporting a beanie and an intense, menacing look, Akshay Kumar appears far removed from the characters audiences have seen him play before. More significantly, the actor is stepping into a completely negative role for the first time, making his character one of the biggest talking points surrounding the film.

Speaking about his role, Akshay Kumar revealed that playing a psycho character on screen had been a long-standing desire of his.

“Just like the title of the film, I play a character called ‘Haiwaan’. There is no grey shade in my character. He is completely evil. Playing a psycho character on screen has been a long-standing desire of mine, and this film gave me the opportunity to explore it,” said Akshay Kumar.

The actor also described the film as an exciting challenge in his career. Having experimented with comedy, horror, action and drama in recent films, Akshay said that portraying a completely negative character has pushed him into unfamiliar territory.

“Over the last four or five films, I have tried to explore different characters across genres such as comedy, horror, action and drama. But this is the first time I am playing a completely negative character. I enjoy challenging myself as an actor, and Haiwaan has given me exactly that opportunity,” he added.

Director Priyadarshan also revealed how Akshay Kumar became the choice for the role. According to the filmmaker, it was a casual moment on the sets of Bhooth Bangla that sparked the idea.

“I saw Akshay casually wearing a beanie on the sets of Bhooth Bangla, and I immediately liked that look. When I was narrating the story of Haiwaan, I had never initially imagined him playing a negative character. But when Akshay asked me, ‘Can I do this character?’, I was surprised,” Priyadarshan revealed.

The director further believes that the film will give audiences an opportunity to witness a completely different Akshay Kumar while allowing the actor to showcase a side of his performance that has rarely been explored on screen.

Adding to the anticipation is the presence of kindly Saif Ali Khan, who shares the screen with Akshay in this dark and mysterious psychological thriller. The combination of two leading stars, along with Priyadarshan’s direction, has already generated considerable curiosity among moviegoers.

With Akshay Kumar stepping into the shoes of an unapologetically evil character, Haiwaan promises to present the actor in a strikingly different light. The film is slated to hit theatres on September 11.
