சென்னை: ஒரு கலைஞனின் படைப்பில் தலையிடாமல் முழுமையான சுதந்திரம் அளிப்பதே அவருக்கு வழங்கக்கூடிய மிகப்பெரிய ஆதரவு என்று நடிகரும் இயக்குநருமான ஆதி தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

மீசையை முறுக்கு 2 படத்தின் வெற்றி விழாவில் பேசிய அவர், படத்தின் உருவாக்கம், தனக்குக் கிடைத்த படைப்புச் சுதந்திரம், ரசிகர்களின் வரவேற்பு மற்றும் இளம் கலைஞர்களுக்கு வாய்ப்பு வழங்குவது குறித்து பல்வேறு கருத்துகளைப் பகிர்ந்துகொண்டார்.

தனது படைப்புப் பயணத்தில் இயக்குநர் சுந்தர்.சி அளித்த ஆதரவை நினைவுகூர்ந்த ஆதி, மீசையை முறுக்கு 2 படத்தை உருவாக்கும்போது அவர் எந்தவிதமான கட்டுப்பாடுகளையும் விதிக்கவில்லை என்றார்.

“இந்தப் படத்தை இப்படித்தான் எடுக்க வேண்டும், திரைக்கதை இப்படித்தான் இருக்க வேண்டும் என்று அவர் ஒருபோதும் கூறவில்லை. ‘உனக்கு சரி என்று தோன்றுவதை செய், ஆல் தி பெஸ்ட்’ என்று மட்டுமே கூறுவார். இத்தனை அனுபவம் வாய்ந்த ஒருவர் எனக்கு முழுமையான சுதந்திரம் கொடுத்தது மிகப்பெரிய வரம்” என்று ஆதி தெரிவித்தார்.

தனது படங்களுக்கு குறிப்பிட்ட ஃபார்முலா அல்லது ஒரே மாதிரியான திரைக்கதை அமைப்பு இருப்பதில்லை என்றும் அவர் கூறினார். முதலில் மனதில் தோன்றும் ஓர் உணர்வை மையமாகக் கொண்டு, அதை ரசிகர்களிடம் கொண்டு சேர்ப்பதே தனது அணுகுமுறை எனக் குறிப்பிட்டார்.

மீசையை முறுக்கு 2 என்ற தலைப்பு உருவான பின்னணியையும் அவர் பகிர்ந்துகொண்டார். புதிய கதை ஒன்றை சுந்தர்.சியிடம் கூறியபோது, “இதுதான் மீசையை முறுக்கு 2” என்று அவர் கூறியதாக ஆதி தெரிவித்தார். பின்னர் மதுரையில் நடைபெற்ற கச்சேரி நிகழ்ச்சியில் ரசிகர் ஒருவர், “மீசையை முறுக்கு 2 எப்போது வரும்?” என்று கேட்டது, அந்தப் படத்தின் தலைப்பை மேலும் உறுதி செய்ததாக அவர் கூறினார். அந்த ரசிகரின் பெயர் கிஷோர் என்றும், அந்த தருணத்திற்காக அவருக்கு நன்றி என்றும் ஆதி தெரிவித்தார்.

படத்துக்கு கிடைத்த வரவேற்பு, தனது படைப்புகளின் நோக்கத்தை மேலும் தெளிவுபடுத்தியுள்ளதாகவும் ஆதி கூறினார். தனது படங்களை பார்க்க வரும் ரசிகர்கள், குறைந்தது இரண்டரை மணி நேரமாவது தங்களது கவலைகளை மறந்து மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதே தனது விருப்பம் என்றார்.

“படம் முடிந்து வீட்டுக்குச் செல்லும்போது ஒரு நல்ல உணர்வை ரசிகர்கள் எடுத்துச் செல்ல வேண்டும். என்னுடைய படங்கள் அனைத்தும் அப்படித்தான் இருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதில் நான் தெளிவாக இருக்கிறேன்” என்று அவர் தெரிவித்தார்.

கச்சேரிகளில் ரசிகர்களிடம் காணப்படும் உற்சாகத்தை திரையரங்கிலும் உருவாக்க வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணம் தனக்கு இருந்ததாகவும், மீசையை முறுக்கு 2 படத்துக்கு கிடைத்த வரவேற்பு அந்த எண்ணத்துக்கு மேலும் நம்பிக்கையை அளித்துள்ளதாகவும் ஆதி கூறினார்.

படத்துக்கு கிடைத்த பாராட்டுகளைப் போலவே விமர்சனங்களையும் தான் முக்கியமாக எடுத்துக்கொள்வதாக அவர் தெரிவித்தார். “இன்னும் இதைச் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று சிலர் கூறுகிறார்கள். அந்தக் கருத்துகளையும் நான் எடுத்துக்கொள்கிறேன். இன்னும் நிறைய தூரம் செல்ல வேண்டியுள்ளது. ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் புதிதாகக் கற்றுக்கொண்டு, அடுத்தடுத்த படங்களில் இன்னும் சிறப்பாகச் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்பதே என் நோக்கம்” என்றார்.

இளம் திறமையாளர்களுக்கு தொடர்ந்து வாய்ப்பு வழங்க வேண்டும் என்பதிலும் ஆதி தனது நிலைப்பாட்டை வெளிப்படுத்தினார். உதவி இயக்குநர்கள் மற்றும் இளம் தொழில்நுட்பக் கலைஞர்களுக்கு வாய்ப்பு கிடைப்பதே அவர்களின் வளர்ச்சிக்கு முக்கியம் என்றும், சரியான வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தால் அவர்கள் எதிர்காலத்தில் தங்களை விட பெரிய உயரங்களை அடைய முடியும் என்றும் கூறினார்.

தனது குழுவில் பணியாற்றிய கோ-டைரக்டர்கள் சீசர், பாஸ்கோ, அஷ்வின் உள்ளிட்டோருக்கும் அவர் நன்றி தெரிவித்தார். உதவி இயக்குநர்கள் அனுபவம் பெறுவதற்காக மூத்த இயக்குநர்களை குழுவுடன் இணைந்து பணியாற்றச் செய்ததாகவும் அவர் குறிப்பிட்டார்.

படத்தின் கிரியேட்டிவ் ப்ரொட்யூசராக பணியாற்றிய அஷ்வினின் பங்களிப்பையும் ஆதி பாராட்டினார். அவரை ஒரு இயக்குநராக மட்டும் பார்க்காமல், நடிகர்கள் தேர்வு, கதாபாத்திர வடிவமைப்பு உள்ளிட்ட படத்தின் பல்வேறு படைப்புப் பணிகளில் திறம்பட செயல்படும் கிரியேட்டிவ் ப்ரொட்யூசராக பார்த்ததாக அவர் கூறினார்.

‘Creative Freedom Is the Greatest Support for an Artist’: Aadhi at Meesaya Murukku 2 Success Meet

Actor and filmmaker Aadhi has said that giving an artist complete creative freedom, without interfering with their work, is the greatest support one can offer.

Speaking at the success meet of Meesaya Murukku 2, Aadhi opened up about the making of the film, the creative freedom he received, the response from audiences, and the importance of giving opportunities to young talents in the industry.

Recalling the support he received from director Sundar C. during his filmmaking journey, Aadhi said that he was given complete freedom while making Meesaya Murukku 2, without any creative restrictions.

“He never told me that the film should be made in a particular way or that the screenplay should follow a certain structure. He would simply say, ‘Do what you feel is right. All the best.’ For someone with so much experience to give me complete freedom was a great blessing,” Aadhi said.

Aadhi also said that he does not follow a specific formula or a fixed screenplay structure for his films. According to him, his approach is to begin with an emotion that comes to mind and then find a way to convey that emotion effectively to the audience.

He also shared the story behind the title Meesaya Murukku 2. When he narrated a new story to Sundar C., the director reportedly told him, “This is Meesaya Murukku 2.” Later, during a concert in Madurai, a fan asked Aadhi, “When is Meesaya Murukku 2 coming?” He said that moment further reinforced the decision to use the title. Aadhi revealed that the fan’s name was Kishore and thanked him for that memorable moment.

Speaking about the response to the film, Aadhi said that the reception had further strengthened his clarity about the purpose behind his films. He said his primary aim is to ensure that audiences who come to watch his films are able to forget their worries and enjoy themselves for at least two and a half hours.

“I want the audience to take back a good feeling when they return home after watching the film. I am very clear that all my films should create that kind of experience,” he said.

Aadhi also revealed that he had wanted to recreate the kind of energy and excitement seen among fans at concerts inside cinema halls as well. The response to Meesaya Murukku 2, he said, has given him greater confidence in that vision.

At the same time, Aadhi said that he considers criticism as important as appreciation. “Some people have said that there is still more that needs to be done. I take those opinions seriously as well. There is still a long way to go. My goal is to keep learning something new every day and do better in my upcoming films,” he said.

Aadhi also stressed the importance of providing opportunities to young and emerging talents in the film industry. He said that opportunities are crucial for assistant directors and young technicians to grow, adding that with the right opportunities, they could eventually reach heights greater than those achieved by established filmmakers.

He thanked his co-directors, Caesar, Pasco and Ashwin, who worked with him on the film. He also mentioned that he had brought experienced senior directors into the team to help assistant directors gain valuable experience by working alongside them.

Aadhi further appreciated the contribution of Ashwin, who served as the film’s creative producer. He said he viewed Ashwin not merely as a director but as a creative producer who was actively involved in several aspects of the film, including casting and character design.

Aadhi concluded by saying that he does not view the success of Meesaya Murukku 2 merely as a personal achievement. Instead, he considers it recognition for everyone who trusted him, gave him creative freedom and continued to support the film, along with the audiences who stood by the project.
