இதனிடையே, வழக்கு நிலுவையில் இருக்கும் சூழலில், ‘திரிஷ்யம் 3’ திரைப்படத்தின் தெலுங்கு உரிமைகள் தொடர்பாக யாரேனும் தயாரிப்பாளர்கள், விநியோகஸ்தர்கள், ஓடிடி தளங்கள் அல்லது பிற வணிக தரப்புகள் ஒப்பந்தங்களில் ஈடுபட்டால், அது அவர்களது சொந்த பொறுப்பிலேயே அமையும் என ராஜ்குமார் தியேட்டர்ஸ் நிறுவனம் எச்சரிக்கை விடுத்துள்ளது.

‘Drishyam 3’ Telugu Rights Dispute Reaches Madras High Court; Rajkumar Theatres Initiates Legal Action

A fresh legal controversy has emerged around the much-anticipated Malayalam film ‘Drishyam 3’, starring and , and directed by .

Rajkumar Theatres Private Limited, headed by actress-producer and Rajkumar Sethupathi, has approached the claiming exclusive ownership of the Telugu remake and release rights of ‘Drishyam 3’. The company has initiated legal proceedings to safeguard its copyright and intellectual property rights related to the film’s Telugu adaptation.

In the petition filed before the court, the company has sought a permanent injunction restraining Aashirvad Cinemas’ M.J. Antony, director Jeethu Joseph, , Pen Studios, and their associates, representatives, employees, or license holders from remaking, producing, or releasing ‘Drishyam 3’ in Telugu anywhere in the world.

The matter came up for hearing on May 20, 2026, before the Madras High Court. Senior advocate K. Ravi appeared on behalf of Rajkumar Theatres and presented arguments before the court. After hearing the submissions, the court directed all respondents to file their replies within three weeks and issued notices accordingly.

Meanwhile, Rajkumar Theatres has also cautioned that since the legal proceedings are currently pending, any producer, distributor, theatre owner, OTT platform, or commercial entity entering into agreements or business understandings concerning the Telugu adaptation or Telugu release rights of ‘Drishyam 3’ would be doing so entirely at their own risk. The company further stated that any such agreements would remain subject to the final verdict of the Madras High Court.

The case has now drawn significant attention within the film industry, with many closely watching the next phase of the legal battle surrounding the highly anticipated franchise film.
