The audio and teaser launch event of ‘Double Occupancy’, held in Chennai, turned into more than just a film function — it became an emotional celebration of dreams, friendship, and passion for cinema. Produced by Avni Movies in association with Benz Media, the film is positioned as a refreshing romantic fantasy entertainer that blends love, emotions, comedy, and imagination into a unique cinematic experience.
Popular actor Santhosh, who gained recognition through Ponniyin Selvan, plays the lead role in the film. He is paired opposite Samyuktha Viswanath, who became widely known through the viral Katchi Sera song. The cast also includes Reshma Venkatesh, Vinoth Kishan, VTV Ganesh, and Bhagavathi Perumal in pivotal roles.
Marking his directorial debut, Ashwin Kandasamy described the film as “not just another love story, but an emotional language for the new generation.” Interestingly, the project was initially planned as a short film before evolving into a full-length feature, with actor Santhosh being the first person to encourage the team to turn it into a theatrical film.
