Bringing together romance, revenge and larger-than-life drama, Story TV’s Premkatha promises a vibrant and fearless world set against the colourful backdrop of Gujarat.
Nyrraa M. Banerji plays Sejal, the fearless daughter of a dreaded don, who falls in love with Jai, played by Karam Rajpal, a humble truck driver who repeatedly comes to her rescue. Their love story soon sparks a fierce battle between rival crime families. As secrets unravel, Jai’s true identity comes to light, changing the course of their lives.
In an interview with a leading publication, the actress shared her real-life Premkatha experience with none other than Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
Recalling her first meeting with the superstar, Nyrraa said, “I met Salman sir way before Bigg Boss, while I was shooting for Priyadarshan’s film and Salman sir was shooting for Dabangg right opposite us. I got to know that he was shooting next door, and I got so excited that I requested Priyan sir to let me meet him. Salman sir agreed immediately and came without his security towards my set. I went halfway to meet him.”
She further recalled how she was left shivering as he walked towards her. “I got so scared that I started walking in the opposite direction. My team told me, ‘Please go and talk to him.’ He spoke to me so politely, wished me luck for my film, and cut to Bigg Boss, where we met again, and he still remembered meeting me.”
With its dramatic storytelling, vibrant setting and intense romantic conflict, Premkatha brings a larger-than-life cinematic sensibility to the microdrama format.
Premkatha is now streaming exclusively on the Story TV app.
