காடு, கிராமம், மர்மம்… ‘மண்டவெட்டி’ படப்பிடிப்பு முடிவு – தீவிர திரில்லருடன் வருகிறார் இயக்குநர் சரண்ராஜ்!
தமிழ் சினிமாவில் வித்தியாசமான கதைக்களங்களைக் கொண்டு கவனம் ஈர்த்து வரும் இயக்குநர் சரண்ராஜ் செந்தில்குமார் இயக்கியுள்ள புதிய திரைப்படம் ‘மண்டவெட்டி’. டஸ்கர்ஸ் டென் பிக்சர்ஸ் தயாரிப்பில் உருவாகியுள்ள இந்த படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பு தற்போது முழுமையாக நிறைவடைந்துள்ளது.
நடிகை கோமலி பிரசாத் கதாநாயகியாக நடித்துள்ள இந்த படம் டார்க் சூப்பர்நேச்சுரல் கிரைம் திரில்லர் வகையைச் சேர்ந்ததாக உருவாகியுள்ளது. ஒரு பெண்ணின் மனநிலை, இழப்பு, அடையாள தேடல் மற்றும் உயிர்வாழ்வுக்கான போராட்டம் போன்ற உணர்ச்சிகளை மையமாக வைத்து, மர்மம் மற்றும் பரபரப்புடன் கதையை சொல்லும் முயற்சியாக ‘மண்டவெட்டி’ உருவாகி வருகிறது.
படத்தின் கதை இயல்பாகவும் உணர்ச்சிபூர்வமாகவும் வெளிப்பட வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக, சுமார் 80 சதவீத காட்சிகள் வெளிப்புற இடங்களில் படமாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. மேலும், கதையின் தொடர்ச்சியை காக்கும் வகையில் முழு படப்பிடிப்பும் ஒரே கட்டமாக நடத்தப்பட்டது.
படக்குழுவினர் தினமும் சுமார் 100 கிலோமீட்டர் பயணம் செய்து படப்பிடிப்பு தளத்தை சென்றடைந்துள்ளனர். கடும் வெயில், குளிர், முள் நிறைந்த கடினமான நிலப்பரப்பு போன்ற பல சவால்களை எதிர்கொண்டாலும், அந்த இயற்கை சூழல் படத்தின் காட்சிகளுக்கு கூடுதல் நிஜத்தன்மையை வழங்கியதாக படக்குழு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
இந்த திரைப்படத்தின் முக்கியமான பலமாக மதுரை மாவட்டம் உசிலம்பட்டி மற்றும் அதன் சுற்றுப்புற கிராம மக்கள் இருப்பதாகவும் கூறப்படுகிறது. அந்த பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த பலர் இந்தப் படத்தில் முதல் முறையாக நடித்துள்ளனர். குறிப்பாக, ஒரு முக்கிய காட்சியை கிராம மயானத்தில் படமாக்கிய அனுபவம் படக்குழுவிற்கு மறக்க முடியாததாக அமைந்துள்ளது. படப்பிடிப்பின் போது கிராம மக்களிடமிருந்து கிடைத்த அன்பும் ஒத்துழைப்பும் மிகப்பெரிய ஆதரவாக இருந்ததாக படக்குழு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
மேலும், கதையில் முக்கிய இடம் பெறும் ‘செஞ்சி’ என்ற கற்பனை உள்ளூர் தெய்வக் கதாபாத்திரம் படத்திற்கு தனித்துவமான ஆன்மிக மற்றும் மர்ம அம்சத்தை சேர்க்கிறது. படப்பிடிப்பு முழுவதும் அந்த தெய்வத்தின் அருள் தங்களுக்கு பாதுகாப்பாக இருந்ததாக படக்குழுவினர் நம்பிக்கை தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
தற்போது ‘மண்டவெட்டி’ திரைப்படத்தின் போஸ்ட் புரொடக்ஷன் பணிகள் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. வலுவான கதை, உண்மைத் தன்மை கொண்ட படப்பிடிப்பு சூழல் மற்றும் அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் உழைத்த படக்குழு ஆகியவற்றால், இந்த படம் பார்வையாளர்களுக்கு வித்தியாசமான திரை அனுபவத்தை வழங்கும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.

Mystery, Wilderness and Emotion – Director Saranraj’s ‘Mandavetti’ Wraps Up Shooting
Director Saranraj Senthilkumar, who gained attention with his earlier works, has now completed the shooting of his new film “Mandavetti.” The film is produced under the banner Duskers Ten Pictures, and the entire shoot has been successfully wrapped up.
Actress Komali Prasad plays the female lead in this film, which is said to be a dark supernatural crime thriller. The story revolves around the psychological and emotional journey of a woman, exploring themes such as loss, identity, and survival, while unfolding a gripping mystery in an intense narrative.
To maintain the authenticity of the story, nearly 80 percent of the film was shot in outdoor locations. The entire shoot was also completed in a single schedule to preserve the natural continuity of the narrative.
The film crew travelled nearly 100 kilometres every day to reach the shooting locations. Despite facing challenges such as extreme heat, cold weather, and thorn-filled rough terrain, the team believes these natural conditions have added greater realism and visual strength to the film.
Another major highlight of the film is the participation of local villagers from Usilampatti and nearby villages in Madurai district. Many of them are appearing on screen for the first time, which has helped enhance the authenticity of the story. The team also described filming an important scene in a village cremation ground as a particularly challenging yet memorable experience. The crew expressed heartfelt thanks to the villagers for their support and cooperation throughout the shoot.
The story also features a fictional local deity named “Senji,” which adds a unique spiritual and mystical layer to the narrative. The crew shared that they believe the blessings of this deity guided and protected them during the entire filming process.
With the shooting now completed, post-production work for “Mandavetti” has begun. With its strong storyline, realistic locations, and a dedicated team behind it, the film is expected to offer audiences a distinct and engaging cinematic experience.
