சமூகப் பொறுப்புணர்வின் ஒரு முக்கிய முயற்சியாக, ஜோய் ஆலுக்காஸ் அறக்கட்டளை தமிழ்நாட்டில் வசிக்கும் பின்தங்கிய குடும்பங்களுக்கு 50 புதிய வீடுகளை இலவசமாக வழங்கியுள்ளது. ‘ஜோய் ஹோம்ஸ்’ (Joy Homes) என்ற பெயரில் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட இந்த திட்டம், வீடில்லாத மற்றும் பொருளாதார ரீதியாக பாதிக்கப்பட்ட குடும்பங்களுக்கு பாதுகாப்பான வாழ்க்கையை வழங்கும் நோக்கத்துடன் செயல்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இந்த வீடுகளின் திறப்பு விழாவும் பயனாளிகளுக்கு சாவி வழங்கும் நிகழ்ச்சியும் சென்னை நுங்கம்பாக்கத்தில் உள்ள வள்ளுவர் கோட்டத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. ஜோய் ஆலுக்காஸ் குழுமத்தின் தலைவர் மற்றும் நிர்வாக இயக்குநர் ஜோய் ஆலுக்காஸ் தலைமையில் நடைபெற்ற இந்த நிகழ்வில் இயக்குநர்-நடிகர் தியாகராஜன் முன்னிலை வகித்தார்.

ஜோய் ஆலுக்காஸ் அறக்கட்டளையின் சமூக சேவை திட்டங்களில் ஒன்றான ‘ஜோய் ஹோம்ஸ்’ திட்டத்தின் கீழ் இந்த வீடுகள் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ளன. சுமார் 500 சதுர அடி பரப்பளவில் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ள இந்த இல்லங்கள், பாதுகாப்பான குடியிருப்பை மட்டுமல்லாமல், குடும்பங்களுக்கு கண்ணியமான மற்றும் நிலையான வாழ்க்கையை வழங்கும் வகையில் வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
வறுமை, இயற்கை பேரழிவுகள், உடல்நலப் பிரச்சினைகள் மற்றும் மாற்றுத்திறன்கள் காரணமாக பாதிக்கப்பட்ட குடும்பங்களே இந்த திட்டத்தின் பயனாளிகளாக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர். நிலையான வீட்டு வசதி கிடைப்பதன் மூலம் அவர்கள் புதிய வாழ்க்கையை அமைத்துக்கொள்ளும் வாய்ப்பை இந்த முயற்சி வழங்குகிறது.
600 வீடுகளை கடந்த ‘ஜோய் ஹோம்ஸ்’ திட்டம்
தமிழ்நாட்டில் வழங்கப்பட்ட இந்த வீடுகளுடன் சேர்த்து, கேரளா, தமிழகம் மற்றும் கர்நாடகா ஆகிய மாநிலங்களில் ‘ஜோய் ஹோம்ஸ்’ திட்டத்தின் கீழ் வழங்கப்பட்ட வீடுகளின் எண்ணிக்கை 600-ஐத் தாண்டியுள்ளது.
இதன் அடுத்த கட்டமாக தெலங்கானாவில் 50 வீடுகள் கட்டுமானம் இறுதி கட்டத்தில் உள்ளன. அதேபோல் ஆந்திரப் பிரதேசத்திலும் மேலும் 50 வீடுகள் கட்டும் பணிகள் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
சமூக நலத் திட்டங்களில் ஜோய் ஆலுக்காஸ் அறக்கட்டளை
2009 ஆம் ஆண்டு தொடங்கப்பட்ட ஜோய் ஆலுக்காஸ் அறக்கட்டளை, சுகாதாரம், கல்வி, முதியோர் பராமரிப்பு மற்றும் பெண்கள் மேம்பாடு போன்ற துறைகளில் பல்வேறு சமூக நலத் திட்டங்களை செயல்படுத்தி வருகிறது.
கேரளாவில் டயாலிசிஸ் இயந்திரங்கள் வழங்குதல், மருத்துவமனை வார்டுகளை புதுப்பித்தல், இரத்ததான இயக்கங்களுக்கு ஆதரவு, கோவிட் காலத்தில் பெற்றோரை இழந்த குழந்தைகளின் கல்விக்கு உதவி போன்ற பல நடவடிக்கைகளையும் அறக்கட்டளை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளது.

As part of its social responsibility initiatives, the Joy Alukkas Foundation has provided 50 newly built houses free of cost to underprivileged families in Tamil Nadu. The initiative, named “Joy Homes,” aims to offer safe and secure housing to families who do not have a permanent place to live.
The inauguration ceremony and key handover event took place at Valluvar Kottam in Nungambakkam, Chennai. The function was led by Joy Alukkas, Chairman and Managing Director of the Joy Alukkas Group, and was attended by director-actor Thyagarajan.
Several prominent personalities were present at the event, including actress Devayani, director Saran, Producers Council Secretary Kathiresan, actor Mime Gopi, producer S.K. Sampath, debate speaker Bharathi Baskar, Nalli Kuppusamy, Kalyanamala Mohan, and others.
During the event, actor Top Star Prashanth handed over the house keys to the 50 beneficiary families.
‘Joy Homes’ – A Step Toward Secure Living
The houses were built under the Joy Homes project, one of the ongoing social initiatives of the Joy Alukkas Foundation. Each house, constructed with an area of around 500 square feet, has been designed not just to provide shelter but also to ensure dignity, safety, and stability for the families.
The beneficiaries include families affected by poverty, natural disasters, chronic illnesses, and disabilities. By providing permanent housing, the project aims to help these families rebuild their lives and create a better future.
Over 600 Houses Built So Far
With the addition of the houses provided in Tamil Nadu, the total number of homes built under the Joy Homes initiative across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka has crossed 600.
As part of the next phase of expansion, 50 houses in Telangana are nearing completion, while construction for another 50 houses in Andhra Pradesh has also begun. Through these efforts, the foundation is expanding its housing initiatives across South India.
Joy Alukkas Foundation’s Social Initiatives
Founded in 2009, the Joy Alukkas Foundation focuses its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives on healthcare, education, elderly care, and women’s empowerment.
The foundation has undertaken several initiatives including donating dialysis machines, upgrading hospital wards, supporting blood donation drives, and assisting children who lost their parents during the COVID-19 pandemic with educational aid.
Additionally, the foundation conducts vocational training programs in tailoring and beauty care, helping women gain financial independence and support their families.
