Produced by Screen Scene Media Entertainment, a banner known for delivering several successful films and web series, Karathey Babu marks the company’s third collaboration with Ravi Mohan after Agilan and Brother. The film is produced on a grand scale by Sundar Arumugam and directed by Ganesh K. Babu, the filmmaker who won hearts with the critically acclaimed hit Dada.
As Ravi Mohan’s 34th film, Karathey Babu is positioned as a gripping political thriller that goes beyond conventional political storytelling. The film reportedly delves into the lesser-seen side of a legislator’s life, exploring the emotional conflicts, personal relationships, and human vulnerabilities hidden behind the public image of a politician.
The announcement of the film’s release date has further heightened anticipation, especially after its teaser and music generated considerable buzz among audiences and cinema enthusiasts.
Adding to the film’s appeal, Daudee Jiwal, daughter of former Tamil Nadu Director General of Police Shankar Jiwal, makes her acting debut as the female lead. The film also features acclaimed filmmaker and actor K. S. Ravikumar, Shakthi Vasu, and Nasser in pivotal roles.
