விழாவில் பேசிய தயாரிப்பாளர் தனஞ்செயன், சத்யஜோதி பிலிம்ஸ் என்றாலே தரமான படைப்புகளுக்கான எதிர்பார்ப்பு இருப்பதாகவும், “லெனின் பாண்டியன்” சமூக நல்லிணக்கம் மற்றும் சமூக மதிப்புகளைப் பேசும் படைப்பாக அமைந்துள்ளதாகவும் குறிப்பிட்டார். தர்ஷன் கணேசனுக்கு தமிழ் சினிமாவில் சிறப்பான எதிர்காலம் இருப்பதாகவும் அவர் வாழ்த்தினார்.

Grand Pre-Release Event Held for “Lenin Pandiyan”

Darshan Ganesan Makes His Debut from the Sivaji Ganesan Family; Ilaiyaraaja’s Music and the Film’s Strong Social Theme Receive Praise

The grand pre-release event of “Lenin Pandiyan”, presented by T.G. Thiagarajan and produced by Senthil Thiagarajan and Arjun Thiagarajan under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films, was held yesterday in the presence of leading personalities from the Tamil film industry, the cast, crew and technicians.

Directed by debutant D.D. Balachandran, the film stars Darshan Ganesan, Gangai Amaran, Roja and Sritha Rao in prominent roles. Revolving around the issue of illegal sand mining, the film explores the lives of people rooted in the soil and speaks about the rights of ordinary people.

“Lenin Pandiyan” is scheduled to release worldwide in theatres on September 25, 2026.

Speaking at the event, distributor association representative Arulpathi congratulated Sathya Jyothi Films and producer T.G. Thiagarajan, expressing confidence that the film would emerge as another successful venture for the production house.

Producer Dhananjayan said that there had been considerable anticipation surrounding “Lenin Pandiyan” over the past few months. He praised Sathya Jyothi Films for consistently backing quality cinema and congratulated T.G. Thiagarajan on the recognition he has received for “Captain Miller”. He also expressed confidence in debutant Darshan Ganesan, stating that Tamil cinema needs more promising heroes and that Darshan has the potential to emerge as an important leading actor.

He further praised Ilaiyaraaja’s music, D.D. Balachandran’s direction and the performances of Gangai Amaran and Roja.

Producer Amma Siva praised Gangai Amaran’s transformation for the role, saying that he had completely immersed himself in the character. He also appreciated Roja for taking up a role beyond her established image and described Darshan Ganesan’s performance as natural and realistic.

Director Venkat Prabhu said he was pleasantly surprised by Gangai Amaran’s performance in the film. According to him, Gangai Amaran has delivered an extremely natural performance, with the character eventually becoming more prominent on screen than the actor himself.

Speaking at the event, she said she was happy that Ilaiyaraaja, who composed music for her debut film, has also composed the music for her comeback film.

Roja revealed that she was drawn to the project after director D.D. Balachandran narrated the story at her home. She said his clarity about the characters, dialogues, body language and overall vision convinced her to return to acting.

She also spoke fondly about having acted alongside three generations of the Sivaji Ganesan family — Sivaji Ganesan, Prabhu and now Darshan Ganesan.

Praising Darshan, Roja said he had conducted himself with great simplicity and without any sense of entitlement associated with being part of a legendary film family. She also recalled the family-like atmosphere on the sets of “Lenin Pandiyan”.
