மேலும், “கடத்தல் என்பது அரசியல் எல்லைகளைத் தாண்டிய ஒரு பிரச்சினை. அது கலைக்கும் கலைஞர்களுக்கும் நேரிடையான அச்சுறுத்தல். நூற்றுக்கணக்கான கலைஞர்கள், தொழில்நுட்ப கலைஞர்கள், தயாரிப்பாளர்கள், விநியோகஸ்தர்கள் மற்றும் திரையரங்கு உரிமையாளர்கள் ஆகியோரின் உழைப்பையும் முதலீட்டையும் இது பாதிக்கிறது,” என்று அவர் வலியுறுத்தினார்.

அமைப்பு தோல்வியடையும் சூழலில் படைப்பாளிகளை யார் பாதுகாப்பார்கள் என்ற கேள்வியையும் எழுப்பிய அவர், பொறுப்புணர்வு, விரைவான சான்றிதழ் வழங்கல், கடுமையான சட்ட அமலாக்கம் மற்றும் உடனடி கசிவு தடுப்பு நடவடிக்கைகள் அவசியம் என வலியுறுத்தினார்.

Kamal Haasan Condemns Film Leak – Calls It a Systemic Failure

Actor has strongly condemned the leak of the film #Jananayagan, calling it not an accident but a direct result of systemic failure within the industry.

He pointed out that delays in the certification process created an environment that enabled piracy to thrive. According to him, had due procedures been completed on time, such a situation could have been avoided. When legitimate access to a film is delayed, illegal channels inevitably take over, he noted.

Emphasizing the seriousness of the issue, he stated, “Piracy goes beyond politics; it is a direct attack on art and the artist.” He added that such incidents put at risk the hard work of hundreds of artists and technicians, as well as the investments of producers, distributors, and theatre owners who sustain the film industry.

Raising a critical concern, Kamal Haasan questioned who would protect creators when the system itself fails. He stressed the urgent need for accountability, faster certification processes, strict enforcement, and real-time anti-piracy measures.

Concluding his statement, he expressed confidence that true cinema lovers will stand united and support the film by watching it legally in theatres, just as they have supported him in the past.
