இந்திய இசை உலகில் தனித்துவமான குரலாலும் பல்துறை திறமையாலும் ரசிகர்களின் இதயங்களில் நிலைத்திருக்கும் பிரபல பின்னணி பாடகி ஆஷா போஸ்லே அவர்கள் மறைந்த செய்தி இசை உலகையே துயரத்தில் ஆழ்த்தியுள்ளது.

1933 ஆம் ஆண்டு மகாராஷ்டிராவில் பிறந்த ஆஷா போஸ்லே, சிறுவயதிலேயே இசையில் ஆர்வம் கொண்டு தனது வாழ்க்கைப் பயணத்தைத் தொடங்கினார். அவரின் தந்தை பண்டிட் தினநாத் மங்கேஷ்கர் ஒரு புகழ்பெற்ற நாடக கலைஞரும் இசைக்கலைஞரும் ஆவார். குடும்பத்தின் இசை மரபைத் தொடர்ந்து, ஆஷா போஸ்லே பல மொழிகளில் ஆயிரக்கணக்கான பாடல்களைப் பாடி இசை உலகில் தனக்கென ஒரு நிலையை உருவாக்கினார்.

ஹிந்தி திரைப்படங்களில் மட்டுமல்லாமல் தமிழ், தெலுங்கு, பெங்காலி உள்ளிட்ட பல இந்திய மொழிகளிலும் பாடல்கள் பாடியுள்ளார். குறிப்பாக காதல், மெலடி, கபரே, பாப் என பல்வேறு வகை இசைகளில் தனது குரல் மூலம் ரசிகர்களை கவர்ந்துள்ளார்.
