சண்டைக்குள் காதல்… காதலுக்குள் காமெடி – விமல், ஸ்ரேயாவின் ‘சண்டக்காரி’!

ஒரே அலுவலகத்தில் வேலை பார்க்கிறார்கள். ஆனால் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் பார்த்தாலே பிரச்சனை! இப்படியான இரு எதிரெதிர் குணம் கொண்ட கதாபாத்திரங்கள் காதலில் விழுந்தால் என்ன ஆகும்? அதிலும் அவர்களுக்கிடையே சிக்கிக்கொள்ளும் மூன்றாவது நபர் ஒருவர் இருந்தால்? இந்தக் கேள்விகளுக்கு கலகலப்பான திரை அனுபவமாக உருவாகியிருக்கிறது ‘சண்டக்காரி’.

‘த்ரிஷ்யம்’ புகழ் இயக்குநர் ஜீத்து ஜோசப் உருவாக்கிய கதையை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு, இயக்குநர் ஆர். மாதேஷ் திரைக்கதை, வசனம் எழுதி இயக்கியுள்ள இப்படம், காதல், நகைச்சுவை, மோதல் மற்றும் குடும்ப உணர்வுகளை கலந்து உருவாகியுள்ள ரொமான்டிக் காமெடி திரைப்படம்.

படத்தின் கதை லண்டனில் இயங்கி வரும் ஒரு முன்னணி சாப்ட்வேர் நிறுவனத்தைச் சுற்றியே நகர்கிறது. அந்த நிறுவனத்தின் உயர் அதிகாரியாக ஸ்ரேயா நடிக்கிறார். அதே நிறுவனத்தில் பணிபுரியும் சாப்ட்வேர் ஊழியராக விமல் நடித்துள்ளார். பதவியில் மட்டுமல்ல, குணத்திலும் இருவரும் வெவ்வேறு துருவங்கள். இதனால் இருவருக்கும் இடையே தொடர்ந்து உருவாகும் மோதல்கள் தான் கதையின் முக்கியப் பகுதியாக மாறுகின்றன.

கோபம், ஈகோ, பிடிவாதம் என ஆரம்பிக்கும் இந்தச் ‘சண்டை’ எந்த இடத்தில் காதலாக மாறுகிறது என்பதுதான் படத்தின் சுவாரஸ்யமான களம். காதலைவிட இவர்களுக்கிடையேயான வாக்குவாதங்களும், மோதல்களும் அதிகமாக இருந்தால் எப்படி இருக்கும்? அதுதான் ‘சண்டக்காரி’யின் கலகலப்பான அணுகுமுறை.

இந்தக் காதல் சண்டையில் சிக்கிக்கொண்டு தவிக்கும் கதாபாத்திரத்தில் சத்யன் நடித்துள்ளார். விமல் – ஸ்ரேயா இருவருக்கும் இடையே என்ன பிரச்சனை நடந்தாலும், அதன் தாக்கம் சத்யன் கதாபாத்திரத்தின் மீதும் விழுவதால், அவரது காமெடி காட்சிகள் படத்திற்கு கூடுதல் சிரிப்பை கூட்டுகின்றன. விமல், ஸ்ரேயா, சத்யன் கூட்டணி படத்தின் முக்கியமான காமெடி பலமாக உருவாகியுள்ளது.

பிரபு முக்கியமான குணச்சித்திர வேடத்தில் நடித்துள்ளார். நீண்ட இடைவெளிக்குப் பிறகு கே.ஆர். விஜயா மற்றும் தயாரிப்பாளர் புன்னகை பூ கீதா ஆகியோரும் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர். கிரேன் மனோகர் தனது வழக்கமான நகைச்சுவை பாணியில் கலக்கியுள்ளார்.

மேலும் ‘கடலோர கவிதைகள்’ புகழ் ரேகா, ‘மஹதீரா’ படத்தின் வில்லன் நடிகர் தேவ் கில், உமா பத்மநாபன், மகாநதி சங்கர் உள்ளிட்ட பலரும் இப்படத்தில் இணைந்துள்ளனர்.

படத்தின் பின்னணியில் அனுபவம் வாய்ந்த தொழில்நுட்பக் குழுவும் பணியாற்றியுள்ளது. அம்ரீஷ் இசையமைக்க, குருதேவ் ஒளிப்பதிவை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளார். தினேஷ் பொன்ராஜ் படத்தொகுப்பையும், ஐய்யப்பன் கலை இயக்கத்தையும் கவனித்துள்ளனர். சண்டைக்காட்சிகளுக்கு கணல் கண்ணன், நடனத்திற்கு ஹபீப் பணியாற்றியுள்ளனர்.

காதல் இருக்கிறது… அதைவிட அதிகமாக சண்டை இருக்கிறது… அந்தச் சண்டையை சுற்றி சிரிக்க வைக்கும் காட்சிகளும் இருக்கின்றன. குடும்பத்துடன் அமர்ந்து ரசிக்கக்கூடிய ஒரு ஜாலியான ரொமான்டிக் காமெடி அனுபவத்தை தரும் நோக்கில் உருவாகியுள்ள ‘சண்டக்காரி’, விரைவில் திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகிறது.

Love Begins With a Fight: Vimal and Shriya Bring a Fun Rom-Com to the Big Screen

What happens when two people working in the same office simply cannot stand each other? And what if their constant clashes unexpectedly turn into love, with a third person caught in the middle? That is the fun premise behind ‘Sandakkari’, an upcoming romantic comedy featuring Vimal and Shriya.

Based on a story by Jeethu Joseph, the director of Drishyam, the film has been written and directed by R. Madhesh. Blending romance, comedy, conflict and family emotions, Sandakkari promises to be a light-hearted entertainer aimed at audiences looking for a fun theatrical experience.

The story is set against the backdrop of a leading software company in London. Shriya plays a senior executive in the company, while Vimal portrays a software professional working in the same organisation. Though they share the same workplace, the two are poles apart in terms of their personalities.

Their differences soon lead to a series of arguments, clashes and unexpected situations. What begins with anger, ego and constant disagreements gradually takes an interesting turn as romance enters the picture. The chemistry between Vimal and Shriya, and their never-ending ‘fight’, forms one of the major attractions of the film.

Adding to the fun is Sathyan, who finds himself caught between the two whenever their latest clash unfolds. His character becomes an unwilling participant in their arguments, creating several comic situations. The combination of Vimal, Shriya and Sathyan is expected to provide plenty of laughs throughout the film.

Prabhu appears in a prominent character role, while veteran actors K.R. Vijaya and Punnagai Poo Geetha return to the screen in important roles after a considerable gap. Crane Manohar also plays a comic role.

The film features a strong supporting cast, including Rekha of Kadalora Kavithaigal fame, Magadheera antagonist Dev Gill, Uma Padmanabhan and Mahanadhi Shankar, among others.

The technical team includes several experienced names from the industry. Amrish has composed the music, while Gurudev is handling the cinematography. Dinesh Ponraj is the editor and Ayyappan is the art director. Action choreography is by Kanal Kannan, while Habib has choreographed the dance sequences.

With its unusual workplace romance, constant clashes and comedy-driven situations, Sandakkari appears to be aiming for a simple formula — love that begins with a fight and turns into a laugh riot.

Starring Vimal and Shriya in the lead, the film is gearing up for its theatrical release soon and is positioned as a fun-filled romantic comedy that can be enjoyed by the entire family.
